I think Beauty finally realized how childlike her siblings were. Sadly, I just realized in part 4 that she took over a motherly role and "wifely duty" to her father (with the exception of sex). She didn't have time to be a child for long.

I'll be honest and say that I hate the way Rebecca De Mornay (Beauty) talks in this movie. It's too high pitched and breathy for me.
