  • "so i'm psycho." *jumps up and down multiple times* yes jeff, you're psycho.

  • rofl ALL luck on the first one hehe

  • @darthclide Yeah, mainline is game mechanic. But for such games history is great part. For example, Portal.

  • You're not done yet.

  • what the fuck

  • Jeff totally misunderstood the game :)

    GeeeeeeeeeeeeeGeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • i liked your reaction at the end Jeff lol

  • my mind was blown the f away when I played this I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat through the whole escaping scene

  • If you are looking for something to play after World of Goo, The Binding of Isaacmight be a good choice. It's like a rogue like, mixed with the original 2D Zelda, mixed with the most fucked up shit ever. For the price, it is very deep and addicting and I think you'd enjoy it.

  • @ghostkingoftheworld Oh god no.

  • You still need to collect the 8 stars.

  • JEFF YOU ARE NOT DONE YET

  • World of Goo starring Lady Maximus XD

  • Explanation continued: The quote at the end stating, "Now we are all sons of bitches," is also a reference to the Trinity test, or the first detonation of the atomic bomb, stated by J. Robert Oppenheimer. The fire in the beginning outside the house is the result of Tim's research and success in reaching the Princess. The 8 stars, when collected, form a constellation of the Princess in chains outside the house as well. The game is very vague on purpose, but this is the most supported theory.

  • Guys, if you want the ending explained, there are tons of videos that help on Youtube. I'll just give a crash course:

Tim is a scientist working on the creation of the first atomic bomb. The Princess is a metaphor; she is the key to creating the bomb. If you get all 8 secret stars hidden throughout the game, Tim will be able to reach the Princess in the final (or first) level and she will explode, hinting that Tim was able to reach his goal and create the atomic bomb.

  • wow...nothing more to say

  • Bastion is amazing, really youtube friendly as well (because of the different opportunities). Play it on an xbox-controller.

  • Maximus please continue the playthrough and find the stars we want the complete playthrough 100%

  • BBBBWWWWOOOONNNNNGGGGG

    BBBBBWWWWWOOOONNNNNGGGGG

    I thought it deserved it.

  • This game's ending is mindfuckingly awesome.

  • epic game. such a gr8 ending.

  • BRAIDCEPTION

  • GEE GEE

  • Just a note: There are 9 Stars in Braid you can get. It's hard to find them all, but this game isjust so much mind-blowing, that i want to buy it now!

  • I thought he was psychic?

  • Always good to end a playthrough on "Stop, you're hurting me!"

  • Braidception!

  • why do you over complicate things?

  • ''i'm the pervert??'' xD!!

  • Around 8:30 I also screamed at the video.

  • at 2:07 i didnt get that this whole playthrough wtf r u doing? lol im laughing my ass off and confused as fuck

  • Epilogue is puzzle too. And at all levels there is a star. If collect all of them, Braid can meet princess at last level (but technical moment with collecting takes 2 hours). Btw, "Princess" is a nuclear bomb.

  • @AkkarinKnight World 3 has no star.

  • @AkkarinKnight I suppose it could mean anything you want it to. I lazily looked up the plot on wiki, and according to the creator of the game, there is multiple interpretations, and his main intent wasn't the story, but to make people think differently about how game mechanics work. He tried (and succeeded) to bring a new meaning to "think outside the box"

  • @AkkarinKnight

The protagonist is called Tim btw.

  • Jeff, alperen65 is right: you're not a pervert or psycho, you're a scientist working on the Manhattan Project. The Princess was never a real person: she was the atom bomb.

  • @DelvinAnaris shes not only the atomic bomb, shes a symbolic subject of any obsession

  • I love the concept of the time lapse star on world 2. 2 hours of waiting to get it must represent the time consuming process of creating all the uranium-235 or plutonium 239.

  • The game has very powerful references to the creation of the Atomic Bomb, and generally just the pursuit of something so single-mindedly (e.g. the scientist that created the bomb) that we do not recognise external consequence until it is too late.

    References include

    -hellish background at the start

-being chased by a wall of fire

-the princess symbolising the "bomb". Once you reach her at the end, there is a flash and suddenly the concept you are chasing is out of control.

    Amazing game.

  • Accomplishment: Pervert Aquired

  • I wish we had his face for this one. I imagine this would be hilarious.

  • 11:33 Thats what she said

  • My theory for this game

Now we are all son of a bitches' is what someojne said right after the first nuclear bomb exploded.

The princess is the bomb and he is a scientist trying to reach it the part where he talks about the taking the ring off due to people judging him for it is about him not telling his name because people instantly judge him for creating such a destructive weapon.

  • @alperen65 i thought that someone said now i have become death the destroyer of worlds when the first nuke went off but they may have said the other line aswell

  • just wach Braid explained. Them it will make sense

  • this game trolled you so hard bouse :P

  • I.... Wait what?

  • GEEEEEGEEEEEE

  • Note too that what Isaac says is what the creator of the game has said his story symbolizes. He has also said that if one wants to think about it as a simple guy/girl "love" story, think of it as a guy who wants everything to be so perfect for this girl that he keeps playing events over and over in his head.

  • No GG because Tim is bad manner.

  • It's like Memento...

  • U suck

  • The ending of this game is mind blowing, it's mostly all explained in this thread, for those interested:

    w w w. giantbomb .c o m / braid / 61-20716 / braids-themesending-spoilers-ahoy /35-10558 / ?page = 5

    MIND=BLOWN

  • If he went back and did the stars I think he might literally lose his mind, and (really) to find them he'd have to look them up (especially the time lapse one), which isn't Jeff's playstyle, he likes to play honestly for the sense of achievement. I don't think going back for the stars would be sensible...

  • It's so great hearing him try to figure out what the game was about at the end. I did the same thing myself when I beat it. It's an incredible game from 11:34 on my mind was shitting the bed repeatedly but in a good way. One of the best endings to a game I've ever played and I'm not even sure I fully understand it.

  • Mindfuck.

  • are the other books in the epilogue a sign of multiple endings?

  • @liromyc No, the epilogue is also a puzzle. When the red book is open and you go behind parts of the scenery, you get a singing voice and more text shows. It's just part of the flavor of the game, fun though.

  • @liromyc Multiple, or the hidden true ending. Whichever way you want to look at it.

  • I have no idea about the whole interpretation, but thank you Jeff for playing this, there was indeed a lot of rage but nevertheless it was fun!

  • Please find the stars Jeff

  • That explains where world 1 was...

  • You have the seven secret stars left to get jeff

  • Personally, my fav part of this LP were Jeff's reactions.

  • The game was about whatever you think it was about- it's open to interpretation. Maybe it was about the atom bomb, maybe not, no point in forcing your opinion on others.

  • @DIChronicAddict1 So you advocate the post-structuralist position Roland Barthes espouses that delegitimizes the author's interpretation of his own text, in favor of a more decentralized interpretation strategy of texts that emphasizes the collective interpretations of the reader?

Because if you know that the author came out and pointed his finger at one interpretation and said it was the one, there is no other way you can pretend they are all viable interpretations of the text.

  • ..... mind= blown

    that was a trippy ending

nuclear bomb spoilers makes more sense though o.O

    still total mind fuck XD

and yes bouse you are very crazy :D

  • is there Braid 2?

  • Oh my gosh, I was wrong. It was Earth all along. You finally made a monkey out of me!

  • @Joshel131 He can talk. He can talk. He can talk. He can talk He can talk He can talk.

    I CAN SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!

  • Awesome... loved this playthrough, even when you stumbled upon some real easy puzzles for 20 min. You gonna like World of goo..

  • that's why all the worlds are numbered weird, you start with world 2 but the last world is 1

  • I started playing this after part 1 was posted, and once I finished the game all I've been doing is waiting for the reaction to the ending. It was definitely worth the wait :D

  • You didn't discover the meaning Jeff, which means you didn't beat it.

  • This game is... THE BOMB

Get it?! Haha... That was so bad...

  • so wut....the game was played ending to start ? O_O *brain dies*

  • theres nothing in the bathroom?

  • @lanteanboy Besides some DNA.

  • FINALE?!

    The rage... it's finally over...

I don't know what I'm going to do with myself now.

  • "I'M THE PERVERT!?" lolol

  • Awall of flame chases Tim and the princess all the way up to the point of Tim is found outside a bedroom window. After it reverses. She is now trying to trap Tim from ever reaching her.Instead of trying to escape the hands of an evil knight now hes the one that took her away from Tims obsesion with ctrl

The point that rounds all this off in the pursuit of the 8th star Tim finally manages to reach the upper half of the screen and contact with the princess herself Wht happens? She fucking explodes

  • If you touch her, she explodes, youtube it ^^

  • You just missed HALF the epilogue! You need the voice to reveal the green books!

  • Comment removed

  • @Astamalana to clarify, the 'choral sound' is what I mean by voice. You open a book and then go into the hidden section to show the other half of the story.

  • Hero? Not.

  • Jeff just got mind fucked.

  • This game has nothing to do with guilt ridden scientists going insane, no Manhattan project, no princesses going nuclear (get the stars).

13:25 Yes Jeff, its just your little red headed guy is just simply a pervert.

  • @wandomvandom lol no that is what its about

  • @wandomvandom Some people actually developed the pervert theory seriously. It's like they have half their brain working.

  • 14:00 to 21:49 can be summarized by three words:

    wat

  • @ultranol1983 three letters

  • @oOmpdpOo yep, thanks lol

  • 14:00 to 21:49 can be summarized by three words:

    wat

  • I think Jeff's mind just imploded.

  • @Thewarfester

    That it did...That it did..

  • @Thewarfester Or it exploded in a distinct mushroom shaped cloud...

  • @Proletariat12

What you did there. I see it.

  • @psscopata ew iwbtfg sucks he should play the newest and best one I wanna be the boshy !

  • please, please oh please play IWBTFG

  • Apparently this game is about a man whose involvement in the Manhattan Project makes him go crazy with guilt.

  • @Thought39 yup, that's why the one of the last books has the famous quote "now we are all sons of bitches"

  • If I'm correct, this is only half the game.

I may be incorrect, but this game has another, seek the stars my child. And you will find the true ending.

  • @ZeRedSpy stars aren't necessarily - the whole idea was that if u try so hard to find the stars you kinda become the guy.

  • This was a really nice play through, I enjoyed the nice pace and the music is amazing. Although that ending is weird. Looking forward to your next play through espicially looking forward to super mario sunshine when you get that sorted out :-)

  • The princess is the atomic bomb.

  • There is a little more to the story than simply love, I'd post a link but google "Braid plot explained" or something if you're interested.

Anyway, thanks for the play through I enjoyed it :)

  • Get the stars, find the secret ending!

  • Go back and get the stars. :)

  • Grats on finishing it. Good ending isn't it :)?

  • sour bout not being the hero

  • Aw damn, enter the mind of a pervert

  • holy shit what an insane Ending o.O

  • GG also those red books at the end have alternate words if you can hide your character that "show the truth he could not see". The sound you heard at the end meant it would reveal that text.

  • 5th!

  • @Shadikun1 no one cares

  • @racspike123 lol jealous

  • @Shadikun1 =))

  • Jeff your so awesome and if you were wondering the game was about how he was a nuclear scientist and the girl was the nuclear bomb: Spoiler- an alternate ending is that the girl explodes because the guy his so guilty of what he did in that he blew up Manhattan ( Flaming buildings in begging)- Keep going Jeff and stay Bouse :)

  • @Mistahboohtz12 actually the beginning isn't supposed to be Manhattan burning, just Manhattan during sunset (it looks like fire intentionally, however).

  • Agh! That Lenovo ad blew my ears out and it's only a notch above mute.
