the r8 with v8 engine is the one and only r8. it was right to put this engine in the supersportscar because this is audi tradition. the le mans r8 (2000-2005) has had an v8 too. that wasn´t a mistake
@AudiMovies road going r8 has 2 engines options...v8 4,2 l or v10 5,2 l....V 10 was added because v8 was not powerfull enought.....v8 is from a4 rs4 limo, this was not good enough, thats why tunning of ABT or MTM added chargers on v8, to get more HP
Petit Le Mans and THE 24 hrs of Le Mans are two completely different races. If the 908 wins petit, that is fine, good for them, but Le Mans is Le Mans and that is Audi's territory, at least for the las 11 years. The 908 was built for short / mid races, not real endurance. In 4 years the 908 only won 1 Le Mans. Peugeot needs to keep learning a lot.
