  • what camera did you guys use??

  • Not him.

  • is that jarek4

  • hey that guy with the nerf gun looks like jarek4

  • That was pretty f-ing amazing

  • oh and can you please tell me where you got your army equipment and what program did you use?

  • @UlaKogut I used Adobe Premiere and After Effects, but there are other cheaper programs out there that would do more or less the same thing. If you use a Mac I think Final Cut is cheaper, and I know a lot of people swear by Sony Vegas.

  • its like my 5th time watching this! its so good :D

  • why are there nerf... lol

  • Good ambiance sounds to bring up the intensity. I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of my stuff. Let me know what you think. Keep it up!

  • nerf gun really 1:49

  • The music added nothing to the overall feel of the film. The locations were rather boring. There were continuity errors. And overall, i don't think you got the storyline across very well. On the other hand, the costumes are something of envy. MOST of the prop guns looked fantastic. Just some ideas for next time to consider. Keep up the good work.

  • This was fucking awesome!

  • hey man, this is a great idea. I know this is a year old, but maybe a couple of pointers for you future stuff?

1.) muzzle flashes. they were too small at times & had no environmental interaction (such as lighting.) and no smoke etc.

2.) the blood was way too red. I know you are using freddiew and corridordigital's method, (I use the same thing haha) so what I do is I add some white smoke to it. lightens it up and shows as if it was hitting the vest as well.

    3.) some acting was bad.

    Good Job Tho

  • 30 people thought they were being shot at and missed the like button.

  • You guys didn't use the 180 degree rule, it got me confused a few times and looks unpro

  • I think this film is amazing. There is just a few things I would've done differently and that is I would've chosen a different "command post". I wouldn't have used a regular house as this, especially since it's set in 2056. With all the really sweet weapons and what-not the setting is what holds this back from being something even greater. I live in Hamburg Iowa and we have a massive popcorn factor that would've been PERFECT I think for this. I'd love to be a part of this though. Great job

  • @reevesrandall The idea is that the clones appropriated a deserted house for their post. Perhaps not the best setting, but it was intentionally not in a military base.

  • Please Respond: Where'd you get the guns?

  • @CJBountyHunter The Clones used Nerf guns (Longshot, Firefly, and Maverick) painted a flat black. The Americans used various Airsoft guns. M4, M4 S-System, MP5, G36C, G36K, P90, AK-74, and an M14. That may not be a complete list. A few guns had attachments added in weird ways to make them appear as unusual futuristic variations (like MacLeod's weapon). All guns were purchased from various online retailers, in particular, redwolfairsoft and ebay.

  • perfect video! lacked only a little music in the background and sound effects!

    But still I give 10!

  • how did you make the map in the intro?

  • 2nd best indy film iv seen besides ColinandConnor

  • What did happen with the girl and the guy who was shot last time you see then is at 5:33

  • Thuroughly enjoyed watching that. It could use a little work, but keep it up. If you make more I would definately watch!

  • This was awesome!

  • nice nerf gun.... (:

  • Thought the message at the begining was real!

  • NICw

    what kind of camera

  • It was a good story, but cliche lines and bad acting killed it. Every ones firing around them but the humans show no remorse for there best bud dieing to save them. Also blend your effects, add a glow to the muzzle flash to 'light up' the room like a real shot would an pull down the intensity on the muzzle flash. Make the blood hits sifts and linger in the air more. Just some c&c

  • this is so fucking good. i love it. 7:04 sucks!!!! :(

  • awesome! awesome! awsome! really good shit, good story line to

  • What state are you based out of?

  • I like the acting and the props and all that. But some of the effects need to be toned down a notch. For instance take away some of the red in the blood mists. check out my channel Im up to part 5 in action film. I started a year ago, so I have learned a lot along the way.

  • what kind of guns did you use?they look too real to be airsoft

  • Son of a bitch had my volume all the way up...

  • Love the black hawk down reference!

  • Good job. Needed some colour grading real bad tho. i also wanted more cinematic feel to it? anamorphic aspect ratio? deeper depth of field.

  • how did you manage the speacial effects and the beggining intro? plz plz plz reply!

  • great job! The one thing I noticed immediately was the lack of color correction. The footage was very flat and seemed to be basically stock. Also it looks like you shot in 30p? 24 fps generally looks better for films like this, but over great job with variation of shots, etc.

  • Nice vid! Where did u get the score/soundtrack?

  • fuck yeah toster

  • Lol at 9:50 XD (If i were him i would've thrown it ;)

  • lol the girl gets shot

  • Hello, Terminator. lol Great movie

  • Hey guys! I am a maker of short films, and my team and I have just uploadded our first action-packed short! You should check it out!

  • i have to say nice

  • Not the best I've seen, but far from the worse. Better acting and plot and you will be great! Nice loadouts

  • Whos the prick with the beret!

  • wow. what a piece of crap storyline.

  • Very nice!i like alot..

  • this was amazing!!

  • Amazing they should make a proper movie with this storline

  • In 2056 They're still using M4's???Lol that sucks. Great Movie Though :]

  • Amazing short film, really good job :)

  • Watch ours!

  • there using nerf guns!! pause at 9:36

  • A very nice film indeed. But one thing though, why do everybody take some many bullets? Have I missed out of something?

  • amazing !

  • Pretty good work on this. Good costumes and gun props. Some color filters would have been nice. Don't have to go overboard like most ameteur films you see of course. Acting needs work for sure, but you work with what you've got. Ejecting brass would add realism, as would some better muzzle control on the part of your actors.

  • will you be making any more movies to this story line with the clones? i quite enjoy your movie

  • any sense some SC2 here? Medivac, overlord, vikings, drones?

  • @TwoFacedSOUP Lol your being ignorant

  • This is one of the best "Real-Action" mini movies I have seen , but the main problems are that you need to put more emotion in the dialouge and you gotta decorate the area , give it a more "urban" touch to it.

  • 8:39 yeayea go for the NERF gun..

  • hahaha 3:31 how did he miss???

  • LOL Nerf gun at beginning

  • nice fucking nurf gun

  • This was absolutely amazing! Loved every minute of it! Great use of everyday items to accentuate the effects and action sequences. You did great! I was expecting your average, half-cocked backyard movie, I was mistaken. Again, great work, loved it!

  • nice, but you guys should so some research on tactics

like don't all group together behind a shiny car in the open for example haha

  • Very good! You guys should check out my short!

  • 6:24 YOU KILLED GHOST! lol

  • This is one gr8 short like the effects

  • i dont see how u can not like this vid and if u do the dislike bar is ur DICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love how they're all bunched together :D

  • i strongly think this should be on tv truly fantastic guys

  • This was a great video but just has a few problems. When the muzzle flash showed I dident see any light cast on to the user of the Weapon when it was in a darker area where you shot the footage. It dident really cast any light on anything. Not the grass nor the walls. The video was still great tho.Good work.

  • Fantastic job!

  • very nice cool !!!!!

  • what kind of camera are you using. Please reply

  • @UnreadyRage Canon 7D for most of it, some with the Canon 60D. The 60D is cheaper and shoots the same quality video, and you could probably find an even cheaper camera that takes just as good video.

  • Was this recorded with the mic off the camera ??? Please reply :)

  • @left4thepro Yup

  • Sweet vid. Nicely done.

  • this reminds me of homefront sooo much.

  • hi. could you please help me out, i was wondering where you got the music from because i have no idea where to get good music for my films without being flagged for copy right. Please help?

  • 1:32 NERFGUN

  • @RazzTazzFilms 2:44 NERFGUN

  • Where did you get all those weapons and camo?? and this video is pretty legit. i like how you painted the longshot black lol. We make action videos with adobe ae and action essentials. If you could check some of our vids out and tell us what you think that would be awesome!

  • @EncoreFilmStudio Camo was purchased through various online retailers. Armygear and gr8gear are both solid distributors, as is eBay. The weapons used by the American Resistance are all airsoft guns. The weapon used by SGT MacLeod is an M4 S-System with some creative placement of an ironsight (yes, it's backwards intentionally). The weapons used by the clones are, yes, Nerf guns painted black (the short film Prism, not made by us, also has Nerf guns).

  • HAHAHAHA 8:16 NERF GUN LONGSHOT COLORD BLACK XDDD

  • the guy with the beret didn't remove his dust caps on his sniper scope ! lololol

  • I liked this video so hard and subscribed the shit outa you.

  • agh, the beginning showed so much promise...all guns don't sound the same, and you have to think of the range of the weapons, where each person is shooting from, make some sounds higher and some sounds lower...and i suggest getting a wind sock

  • u should take a career in film making

  • I still can't believe this film only has nearly 12 000 views in 9 months, a video like this should of have at least 300 000 views by now, no matter how many times I see this short film I never get tired of it

  • xD Nerf firefly and longshot. Love it!

  • nerf gun used at the end. Terrible acting. mediocre compositing skills. Fantastic cinematography and intro/conclusion. Great Plot. Great costume/outfits.

  • Cameraman in the shot at 5:07-5:08 lol

  • 4:20. the guy who says go was standing infront of window so the enemy could see them lol the guy who said go wanted his teammate to get killed, maybe own money to him..Suck to be bravo leader the black guy since no one on his team really wanted to listen to him lol. sorry guys just had to say that but for real awsome video! 5/5

  • lol that soo wrong the fat guy is the first one to get shot.

  • 3:14 Don't look at the guy who just save you lol keep moving, you not out of danger ! lol nice video

  • The girls arms are to thin to make here look like she's in a military...

  • very nice film! where did you get sounds fx?

  • @AndreaStudiosF18 A mix of Action Audio Pro and some other stuff, Action Audio Pro isn't all that expensive and has a nice collection of gun sounds. I also highly recommend checking out a website called freesound, they have a bunch of sound effects under the Creative Commons license so free to use. Any sound effect that isn't a gun probably came from there.

  • I like your videos, but you should use a lot more practical things. The storyline was good, and the effects were good as well, but the more practical effects you use, the better. I make short films (Only 1 is on my channel, and it's really old), and we try to use a lot of practical stuff, it makes it look realistic. Our recent ones are called Part of the Family: On the Warpath, if you're interested in looking them up. They're older, we're working on the conclusion right now.

  • what is amcor

  • is one of the guns a painted nerf guyn

  • lol at the second chance noobs haha

  • Cool video. great job!! but one thing that i may say is that u should use fake blood or blood bags the computer generated blood lokks fake. just saying

  • how did you get the guns

  • i:32 nerf firefly ....... awesome costumes and sik vid

  • NERF GUN FTW

  • nerf gun lol that was great though!

  • nerf gun lol

  • Great job! A bit iffy on the blood spray, but otherwise very good

  • hey those holographic sights are on backwards lol

  • the m4 had its carry handle mounted backwards?!

  • Pretty darn good!

    JBH-FILMS

  • finally some good movie

  • lmao north south really lol pretty good video though i did the same with my nerf gun a wile back haha

  • NERF GUN!!!!

  • Was really impressed, props were sick and the action was impressive. Although the blood hits were a little too red, and I would HIGHLY recommend a little colour correction next time! it does wonders to a film. so ya...COLOUR CORRECTION!!!

  • What's a *snigger* G-E-N-A-D-E lololololololol

  • who else lol when they saw one of the guns was a nerf gun

  • job well done, mate

  • Amazing you guys are pros! Best YouTube film I've ever seen!

  • Very well done! Good job!

  • cool stuff :)

  • Awesome vid

  • Is this made in finalcutpro or adobeaftereffects??

  • @TheNorfilm Premiere and After Effects CS5

  • Why is the dude with beret wearing a norwegian beret?

  • @TheNorfilm No one was supposed to notice :(

  • @SiliconGold

Ok, but it is the old version of the norwegian army beret...

Where did you guys get the wepons?

    GREAT film!

  • @TheNorfilm I can't believe somebody picked out that detail! That's awesome! Haha

  • @ravenholm4

    ok...

  • Was that guy in beret a british?

  • @SiliconGold - how'd you do the opening sequence map effect ?

  • Very good but your depiction of the wounded was awful.

  • The repainted nerf guns don't look to bad.

  • Where was this filmed!?!!, I live close to where this was filmed!

  • "I can take them"

    *gets shot*

  • Imagine what you could do with a 100 million dollar budget!

  • @talon115 Purchase a quality dishwasher .

  • Oh my god now i wanna spray paint my nerf guns black! that looks fucking sick!

  • Great work guys, that was awesome!

  • I know it actuallly could have been in a movie

  • dude thoes guys is using a nerf longshot

  • dude that guy is using a nerf longshot

  • What camera?

  • @lookinkool5 Canon 60D

  • @lookinkool5 Mmm scratch that, it was the 7D for most of it, 60D for the flashbacks. They were filmed later.

  • @SiliconGold Thanks

  • this video should have so much more films

  • best film ever!!!!!!!1!!

  • @mistad808 did you see prism?

  • @lorenzo6320 yeah it was really good

  • @mistad808 the effects was like a real movie

  • best film ever!!!!!!!1!!

  • Upload a tutorial on how to do the earth zoom intro please! ^-^

  • How did you color correct the immages of the US in the beggining??

  • how long did it take you to make this?

  • @The813413 It was shot over 7 days or something like that, but a lot of those were only a couple hours at a time. We had a really tough time getting people's schedules lined up. Post-production took a couple weeks of work.

  • 09:36 is that a nerf gun? lol !!

  • Truely excellent - Brilliant filming, good story and awesome gear!!! Maybe some smoke and environmental interaction with the flashes but overall great! anyway its not the effects that matter its the story and this film had one, unlike most other action films on youtube :D
