  • Why is it so hard to put a tracklist in the comment box? sheesh..

  • @Alexvlastaras you tell us.. just start writing!

  • having an amp which is too pwerful for the speakers will blow your system. if you have good speakers and dont have the amp on full it shouldnt matter if the mixer is in the red. its never distorted the sound on my set up and most of the pros have the mixer in the red for most of the sets they do without damage.

  • all of you guys that worry about clipping are straight up amateurs, it actually phattens the sound when its right below the red and gives it the compression / limiter effect

  • @tomsawyersucks Exactly A&H and Pioneer mixers especially! Not letting it exceed it's full "red" limit, but keeping it in the higher range will give you that beautifully fat sound that so many of us are used to hearing in the clubs.

    Cheers!

  • @collingmusic the key is too have the speakers power low but the mixers high as you described the crowd gets to hear theyre favorite beast but be able to leave with their ears

  • by the way, before i forget: another great set rik

  • now there is one thing that i don't understand (maybe a REAL pro dj can tell me?:P)

why do pro dj's always spin their levels WAY in the red? is that just part of dj culture or do they really not know anything about audiom at all? for instance that it's best nog to go above 0dB with your levels?

i mean it says OVER on the top red part on the djm-800/2000 etc for a reason:p

  • @stefanmplayer everyone does that, well everyone that i know here in miami does. i do it because i love my music to be loud. that just means that youll get a litte more distortion is the sound, but if you have a standar mixer like pioneer and standar speakers, you dont need to worry abut distortion. im not pro btw

  • @stefanmplayer Some mixers are actually built to be pushed into the red, Allen and Heath being a perfect example of this. I assume Pioneer are similar. Also, the meters aren't constantly in the red, only 'clipping'. There's nothing wrong with that.

  • @stefanmplayer all songs are on the same volume than.. that's better for your mix end-volume.

  • 6:58 - 7:06 GENIUS
