Everyone has been desperately seeking flaws in Titanic. They don't seem to realize that there is very little wrong with the film. It accomplished everything it set out to do. The story is told, understandably and coherently, uniquely and beautifully. Cameron conveys his messages and themes in many subtle and not-so-subtle ways. Not to mention the fact, Titanic can be seen over and over again.

What more does a great film need?

It is unfair. And I think that's the point. Titanic may have taken the lives of better people than some of the survivors. Not all of course. But, I mean, a young man in his 20s dressed as a woman just to get on a life boat and thus, he stole a seat from one of the innocent children on board.
