  • @imkismat I can't write guitar tabs but I can give you the rough S R G M notation... Moreover it is rather difficult to notate gamakas and I play it by the ear. The skeleton that I have played is something like: (I have used semicolon to mean one unit of time but not sure if I have done a good job of spacing things out) Though I have not played at C, the spacing of S R G M is as follows: s = C r = D g = E m = F p = G d = A n1 = A# n = B S = C (higher octave) R = D (higher octave) [...]
  • Hi Its excellent...can u teach us by splitting into small portions r steps.......So that we can learn this.......

  • great. pleas add some more classical vid

  • Sliiiiiiii

  • hehe.. thanks :)

  • I watched this video once again and totaaallly gave up today ;(. I demand more videos from you right away!!! :).

  • really nice!! how effortlessly you gamakize :) is it easy to play these carnatic gamakas on the guitaar? did you have to do make any modifications?

  • Thanks :) No modifications so far... In my opinion playing gamakas on the guitar is not any more difficult than any other instrument and definitely easier than the flute or vINa

  • thats very interesting! i imagined that the frets would hinder free movement of the fingers... :) i learn the violin.. i should try guitar some time :) do you tune the strings in a particular order?

  • Sa Pa Sa tuning :)

  • plz elaborate...

  • Adjacent strings are alternating 7 and 5 semitones(frets) apart. Eg: CGCGCG

  • I like the pauses in the video. Some how makes it more poignant.

Lovely. :) Looking forward for more.

  • beautiful!

    keep them coming:)

  • Thalaiva!!!Cha cha ;( awesome!!

  • Super!

  • Gr8 Job, This sounds really good! Will look forward to more from you. I think a tambura/shruti box in the background would've really made this complete.

  • Thanks for pointing that out! Have added one kutti video with shruti

  • awesome da, Hari... :-)

  • hey.. that's great!!
