I saw him in Hollywood while waiting in line for Jimmy Kimmel. I asked if he remembered the Blu Blockers commercial and he said he did but not the whole thing. I had to refresh his memory but once it cam back to him, we did the whole thing. I rapped the commercial with Geek--amazing :)
this is Dr. Geek, I saw him in Manhattan once and he was busting out freestyle raps just like this. I said you're the guy from the BluBlocker Commercial aren't you he said yea now gimme a dollar. I said I don't have any money on me right now he said well you don't get a rap then I said c'mon please for blublocker ole time sake and then he rapped "you ain't got a buck so you shit outta luck, you ain't gotta dime you be wasting my time, you ain't got a nickel, boy go steal me a pickle"
Not only are they like the most amazing glasses I've ever rocked out, but the girls I pull with these bad boys! I went from 3 veneral diseases to over 300 in just 4 weeks! Thanks Blublocker!
I just got my pair in the mail--same as what he's wearing--and let me tell you: everything is clear, they block out the sun, man, I'm glad I got me some. So to all of you folks out there in TV land, pick up the phone, I'll give you a hand. Make the call, and soon you will see, Blu Blockers are here to stay, I gotta pee.
I remember the Blublockers guy, Joe Sugarman, I think...I remember because he singlehandedly helped to set Jews back 100 years. He was such a nebishy shylock hustler with those ugly-ass sunglasses. LOL. (I'm a member of the tribes so no harm intended...) But what an ugly, horrible man selling $2 sunglasses for $50. People would put a pair on and go "Wow! Everything is different!" How? Like darker, you dumb bitch? You just put on sunglasses. Fucking DUH! I'd yell at the TV. Those were the days.
Why would you had thought he was white? Even though this commercial is like 15 years old - it sucks. I've heard that crap and that crack come out of the mouths of any given race. To be so closed minded it's likely you didn't grow up very cultured.
This guy is from Detroit,Michigan. Back in the day we knew him as Will. He use to rap freestyle while selling ice cream in the hood on the Eastside of Detroit. He would rap about everything and anything. Shot outs to you Geek aka Will the ice cream man, your homies from Mack and Dickerson.
I met Geek once in L.A. while waiting for a Jimmy Kimmel taping. He freestyled with my and my wife's names. He still carries around that little beatbox with him. It was epic.
Isn't there a part two of this? I remember they gave him a free pair for doing such a great job and he continued for more hilarity. If you have it, please post
That man got skills!

If you do a search for blublockers you'll find another clip recently put on that has the whole thing.
Anyway--yeah Geek is a legend. I see him on Hollywood Blvd all the time. It's kind of funny how popular this infomercial was in the '80s.
I still remember when the stoner guy puts on the glasses.."Woah...like, everything is so separated!" Uh.........what?

aww man, this little ditty takes me back. The reason Blue Blockers sold so well is strictly because of this guy. Pure marketing genius.

yeah, marketing genius, except they probably didn't pay him... or maybe that's what you meant!
