@ginestrian I am neither his friend, nor fan. He's been dead since 2000, and the music on that page is from at least 3 years before that. I know because I was him. : ) The sad truth of electronic music, especially electronic dance music, is that it's easy for one artist to sound like another due to the limitations of the genre. That being said, I was pretty much obsessed with NIN during that time.  I've never owned or listened to a single Erasure album.

someone else. You should listen to the originals. Whom else you

have never listened to? Depeche Mode? Yaz? Have never heard of the

producer called Flood (Mark Ellis)? Do you know who Moby or

Goldfrapp are?

@ginestrian It's very easy to look into the past and compare what was happening then to music now, and music that also happened in the past, but influence is a difficult thing to chart retroactively. All of the bands that are considered monumental now may not have been considered so back then, especially in the US. Depeche Mode, NIN (as produced by Flood), and Moby were all HUGE influences on me, however. I liked Yaz, & Goldfrapp... but to me, Goldfrapp is VERY recent. Have you seen my vids?

And, I can't hear any chord similarities between Cult of Remembering and Blue Savannah at all. Maybe the remixer introduced new chord progressions?
