Thanks for sharing!My Grandfather was a Master Derrick Boat Operator for the Corp of Engineers when the Silver Bridge collapsed in 67.He was on scene shortly after the collapse was responsible for vehicle, debris..removal by crane.He told several stories over the years of cars he removed with occupants still inside-one car in particular-a couple still embracing one another-as they drowned.I am fortunate enough to have many artifacts he left when he himself died 10 yrs ago.Again, thanks.
I live in Scotland but I have always found the Silver Bridge incident very poignant and very tragic.
