Bobby Bowden is one of the greatest coaches in history and people like you treat him like dirt because of a few ruff seasons. What about the 14 consecutive season when FSU won 10+ games a season? What about the 2 national championships and the conference championships? He deserves better!

can't wait for your "jimbo" song. doesn't anyone realize that jimbo was part of the problem along with the defense coaches. since jimbo came on board things didn't improve, all i hear is that bobby was just a figurehead in his older years, if that's true then all the coaching staff needs to be replaced. georgia tech had one of jimbo's products "patrick nix" as offensive coordinator and was happy to get rid of him. i'm not saying bobby didn't need to retire, but let him go on his own terms.

What!? FSU's offense was amazing this year! I guess you don't know this but Jimbo is our OFFENSIVE coordinator. Remember Miami vs FSU in 05 and 06(Before Jimbo) ? I think both teams rushing stats in both games COMBINED didn't eclipse 20 yards. Now Jimbo has our rushing attack at over 2,000 yards. Our offense was one of the ACC's best and Ponder(only a 3 star recruit) was the best QB east of the Mississippi. If we had a defense FSU would be playing in the Orange Bowl tomorrow.

Bowden, Paterno, and Bryant are three coaches that are/were above all of the other college football coaches. They were not only great coaches but even greater people. The players are "new"?? Is this a joke?? NONE of the sophmores, juniors, OR seniors are "new". You must not be aware of this, but Ol' Bobby has been coaching at FSU for than just 2 or 3 years. The "new" players excuse only works for coaches who are new at their jobs. Not for coaches who have been coaching at the same school for 34 years. Bobby needs to do what's best for FSU and himself & step down. He doesn't have to quit coaching, he just needs to quit coaching THERE.

I graduated from FSU, and I agree he needed to step down for the good of the program a while ago. But know this....Jimbo Fisher has put together a pretty good offense and so long as Bowden either leaves after this year or has no say in hiring/firing on the defensive side of the ball, FSU will no longer be the joke we've been the last few years. We are a good DC away from being powerful again.
