  • cool.

  • i wish that she would like to play "Schindler's list theme" in Theremin. It must have been touched than any instruments can do

  • That is fantastic! It's very mesmerizing to watch as wll as to listen.

  • uhh, LARSSON en theremin!

  • She is stunningly beautiful and brilliantly talented.

    What a woman ;]

  • shes hot

  • I don't think people actually play these instruments.

They induce a lucid dream :-)

  • I love to see people playing the Theremin. It is the only instrument where the player is truly united and part of the music. peace and love dp

  • Agreed. (artsy fartsy talk on)

if you can ignore the theramin itself, it looks like theramin players are casting magic spells with their hands.

In a way, I guess they are.

Such beautiful sound and yet so difficult to play. Ahhh

    (artsy fartsy talk off)

  • @davidpaul8 man, with evry instrument u are united and part of the music

  • @carlitox9999 agreed. but with the theremin the EM fields are literally going through the players body capacitor creating the sound frequency.

  • @davidpaul8 that's not true.

  • @davidpaul8 Not really, guy.

  • @PikkaBird How does it work?

  • @davidpaul8 Actually, I think that would be the human voice. It's the instrument that is literally a part of you.

  • @tegalto yes. my comment was from a physics view. The Theremin is affected by the proximity of the player....so your entire body/ hands mostly has electric EM fields turning into music.

  • wonderfull

  • I don´t understand how this works but I´m deeply impressed. Beautiful!

  • The left hand controls volume and the right hand controls the pitch - notice the fingers held like a claw, each note finds the fingers shifted to a slightly different position.

The wavering of the entire hand creates the vibrato.

Invented in the early 1920s, it works on the body's effect with radio waves - ever hold your hand close to an old radio and it made a strange noise until you pulled your hand away ?

I'm making a theramin playlist that should soon play for an hour nonstop.

  • The sound is produced by the interaction of two radio frequency oscillators which normally are operating above the range of human hearing. However, if one of these oscillators is slightly detuned by varying it's frequency while the other oscillator remains fixed, the difference in the frequencies (known as the beat frequency) is in the audible range and can be amplified. This process is known as heterodyning.

  • Frist Video with normal Music - very good! Sounds a bit like a Cello in deep tones...

  • Everyone and everything here is beautiful. Carolina, If you are ever in Southern California, I will pay you for theremin lessons. I also have a Moog E-Pro like yours. I bought your book but i'm not very good at reading music. I play more by ear.

  • It's amazing! Beutiful music played on amazing instrument with unusual sound. Just GREAT!

  • ... she is. but theremin's hard as hell man. she's still good.

  • braucht sie nicht! :P

  • but does she speak English fluently?

  • she really is the virtuosa

  • Gosh, she is really etherwaver virtuosa and no doubt can master it also she looks so very beautiful! I wonder if she could perform duo-wave with Pamelia. Must be mesmerize us more and more. hehe :))

  • it´s amazing - i saw this " instrument " the first time in the mid 70´s - she´s absolute perfect in performing

  • I am amazed, that is just so beautiful. She has amazing felling for the theremin.

  • oh, its so beautiful !!!
