you have 2 choices. Match the correct shade of purple with either a colored mascara or gel liner (that you apply with a mascara wand) OR double your lashes up. Wear a pair of black ones and blend your own lashes into them, and then put the colored ones on top.

Why don't you want to get into the "habit" of using liquid liner??

because I've been in the habit of doing it for the past year or so- at least when I "do" my makeup (because there are more days when I wear just mascara, concealer and lipstick, than actually doing a full face). I never like sticking to one way of doing makeup or one way of dressing. With makeup, just like you might wear green eyeshadow one day, and purple the next, I don't want to wear liner every single time I do my makeup as it changes the look.
