I'm a farmer who deals with a lot of companies, including Monsanto. The situation really isn't how it is potrayed. We have a choice of products from Monsanto or others. Monsanto is to corn technology what Microsoft is to PC technology. Monsanto's technology has greatly improved the efficiency of some (not all) farming--making more starch and energy with the same inputs. Do you realize that the carbon footprint (fuel/fertlizer) is much lower now than 30 yrs ago because of higher yields?
I don't think this movie was intended to have a main plot and order. I think it was intended to put a point across to Americans and I think it did a great job.
at least you know that Monsanto are bad but i think your been too harsh. Yes it maybe disjointed but you want to see different aspects from different people involved in this escapade. Yes its nice to see a thriller a GI Joe but as a human being it is everyone's responsibility to do good things not eat or support bad people or bad corporations.
The reason this film was released in theaters was so that the truth about what we eat would be seen be a large audience. You seem to be wanting to have this documentary not seen by anyone, but EVERYONE must learn the truth about Monsanto.
I think this movie is extremely important for all people to see. And you say it should be on "animal planet" or "discovery channel" as if they are bull s**t channels. It's disjointed? It's a documentary; not a top-box featured film! And you're excited about G.I. Joe coming out....
In all due respect, maybe you should refrain from reviewing documentaries; They aren't for entertainment. They are for people who are tired of being ignorant about important issues that affect our world.
I thought the movie was powerful enough to change my mind about what I am eating and where our food comes from. It might have been to choppy in parts but two thumbs down.I highly disagree.
I agre completely. The topic is complicated and has a lot of aspects. But we must appriciate that some peoplestnd up agaist lies and want to show what food corporations are really doing. Two thmbs down...I disagree too...
Thanks for the heads up on a thumbs down flick lol I know what you mean, that sort of thing is okay and interesting to watch on tv, but when one is shelling out the bigs bucks to go to a movie... well, we expect something big! At least that's how I see it... Have a great weekend, Sean! :)
It was disjointed but I still enjoyed it. Just when you might be having a little too much from one person or topic it switches to something else. Of course, it's all related and the makers did have alot of subject matter to cover.

The whole movie and that's all you got from it, Monsanto?
Thats's surely not an entertainment movie, but an educational one.And the message is very strong. Not just Monsanto.

It's one of the best movies you can see.
If everyone watched it we might not have all this cancer, diabetes, obesity, etc.
GI Joe, no matter how entertaining, can't even get close to helping achieve such thing.

Yes I think the trouble was they tried to cover too much which made it not effective covering anything.
