A great movie by a master-Mike Nichols! Orson Welles as Gen. Dreedle....to me the funniest names are Lt. Scheisskopf and Major Major Major Major. The late Joe Heller said in an interview that his characters were not drawn from real USAAF enlisted and officers as high ranking officers who talked and acted out crazily would have been relieved and sent home packing. There was too much at stake to defeat the Nazi war machine.

Top Gun.. not so fantastic. .. one minute the planes are over water, next over land, then over water..etc... funny how while in combat training over the desert they have water below them...LAME Take the continuity director out and shoot him.

@Dimitrar I disagree I put the book on the TV for two hours without getting any entertainment. lol Comparing a book to a movie adaptation is apples to oranges. Having said that I prefer seeing movie versions first, then I can say if you like the movie you will love the book as opposed to saying the book was better. I personally love the movie, the book well I thought it was good.
