@gazzta06 It's because the song was originally written for a 19th century British music hall act - it captures a sense of the period perfectly. The point is that Holmes (at least in the movie) moved amongst working class people - and this was the music of the time. Also in the movie it appears during the fight scene.

Anybody know if they're making a sequel? The way the movie ends iwth Moriarty getting what he wanted by manipulating the everyone so perfectly was a great way to end the movie. and with the death of that police officer and Holmes accepting the case it's pefect for a sequel involving moriarty. He really is the best Sherlock Holmes villain ever.
