The predecessor to the Star Gate movie and SG1 Series anyone? The SG1 team were smart enough to send drones and robotic probes in 1st b4 poking around, DUH!!
16th century style Little house on the prairie;...no thank you. There is no Rock or hot chicks in mini-skirts...thats not Heaven for me. No toilet facilities, toothbrush, mouthwash, soap or deodorant;...that sounds like Hell to me. People make me laugh when they talk about going back in time to Medieval age; the plague, rats everywhere, Lords and Barons hanging you for eating an apple on their land and religious dungeons and torture chambers. You can keep all that!
Personally, I would not care to live in the equivalent of the sixteenth century, no matter how tranquil. We have tranquility here, if we seek it out. The tranquility in the other world would be shattered by the first absessed tooth, or first major accident, or first disease or surgery requiring modern medical care, or too many other situations which might arise which the limitations therein could not effectively resolve. And what about the sheer, mind-numbing boredom? We require diversions.
She said, do you want to go to heaven. He said, oh yeah, she said i'll show you the way. He said, we are not exactly strangers.... Thank;s for the uploads
@zareh77 You don't need to go through a hole in space to find a place like that. Look up "Tinkers Bubble" on here it is an eco village in Somerset where they live just like those people in this video. There is also another eco village planned for Gloucestshire soon as well.
I'm glad Major McAndrews finally realized all the damage the Military would have done if they had gotten control of that primitive planet so it was great he had the sense to destroy those computers then jump back threw the gate. That planet looked like a great place to retire on.
Is this last season on TZ all Canadian? Did they shift production to Canada or something? I'm just curious, because all these newly posted episodes have Canadian tinges.
@hultonclint CBS produced it for two years and then canceled it. However, they wanted enough for syndication. So they replaced the entire production team and hired a new group of writers, switching production to Canada. All the third season episodes are Canadian in origin. However, one of the gems was writer J. Michael Straczynski who went on later to produce Babylon 5. He was able to coax Harlin Ellison back as a story consultant and Ellison wrote one of the later episodes.
I love this show but I thought this episode was rather meh.
