  • what a time waster..he presupposes that the rest of the human race can't observe Autumn for themselves. The difference is that we can express clearly what we see, think and feel..this is just time wasting babble, isn't it?

  • @mrswozzle Not at all. He doesn't presuppose that we can't observe autumn for ourselves; this is simply his observation of it, which he shares with us. It's the expression of the feelings and images which the season creates in his own soul.

  • I love this poem, & the pictures are vibrantly beautiful. Great voice, great video!!!

  • I agree, far too quick. he should relish every word.

  • To Autumn! I love him poem. It is very greatful . He use simple word to express his thinking and autumn.

  • Beautiful Poem. I'm studying this for gcse. and it's on tuesday. So I'm trying to study all of best words.I'm quite enjoying this poem though. because it appeals to the reader's senses. And it' just great.

  • Cool a poem about my name :)

  • You read it so BADLY!

  • how boring

  • it is loaded with triple meaning [ nature...disguised comment on his life...and, it seems, disguised political criticisms

  • As soon as this started my thought was - wrong voice!

  • A fine example tha old is better.

  • nice reading , but what is the hurry he needs to slow the reading down a bit

  • my name is autumn :)

  • gay Grecian

  • not really helping my english though!!!

  • as beautiful this poem maybe... i need help... can sum one give me sum idea for a theme on a essay? is for my english exams :P....

  • Thando23, It is a beautiful nature poem if one reads it and looks at it on the surface. Beautiful images of the fruitfulness and mellowness of the autumnal season abound in it. However, it can be also seen as a metaphor for the human middle years and the approach of old age...

  • this is a goooooood poem. i realy enjoyed it ^_^

  • Thanks for this lovely poem John!

  • A magnificent poet and one I studied extensively at Oxford.

  • I have enjoyed sharing the poetry with you due to your keen appreciation of literature, poetry, and yes, your beauty. x

  • Yeah O.K it's a good poem and that but I watched this in english and to be honest listening to it like this is pretty dull. when you have to study it for a GCSE exam it's never exactly facinating is it? I don't know why people people would chose to watch something like this out of choice.

  • A terribly reading. And why does he say "fiddle fruit?"

  • I enjoyed this poem a lot it showed the hidden beauty of the world throuh words and images. Thank you so much!

  • wow, thats what i needed, a mindless poem explaining the irrelevance of poetry in general, i can see why his name was wrote in water :D

  • what an asthetic person, you are. Why do we even need art at all? Wouldn't the world be such a better place if people only TALKED about their feelings so we, the public, wouldn't have to hear of it. Instead we could just sit in front of the tele all day watching porn, action movies or anything entertaining or MINDLESS of that matter. Is that what you're trying to say?

    Right...................................

    Nice poem by the way.

  • No Just we should learn about what and how not who and when, poems are just like tv, for entertainment, just complex which gives poetry the respect it deserves

  • I know its entertainment. Anything that hasnt got a practical purpose in the original sense is entertainment.

But really, I was just kidding =)

  • Hey, I was just wondering. I had to do an english presentation. We have to do a video and reconstruct each stanza. Is it ok if I use the voice to your poem? If not, then it's ok. I'll delete the video as soon as possible. You can check it out at my profile.

    :)

  • Nice job. Well done for the most part. A fantastic poem, certainly one of the best in the English language. Thanks!

  • Amazing its a beautiful poem keats was a genius.

  • Quite simply, the greatest pastoral poem in the language.

  • Bless you for putting this up. A most gorgeous poem, and so evocative!! :) ♥
