  • @striker2479 - i checked out your page - just coz we don't see eye to eye on kickboxing doesn't mean i cant say 'good taste in music - Blue Oyster Cult - and also you must be an intelligent dude liking Hitchens. Peace

  • People thats what fighting in the ring is all about. Is to hurt the other one even to break bones, Stans has powerful kicks so stop writing stupid comments.

  • Alexio has claimed a divit in the ring caused his leg break. There may be some truth to that, but Dennis has a history of not dealing well with anything other than a win. The rules were going to favor Stan because of the legality of low kicks, but its not like this fight proved any vast superiority of one man over another. Alexio was a great fighter who chose to not really compete seriously after this, Longinidis did and beat some great fighters, hence why his rep is more respected.

  • I worked as a sparring partner at different times for both these guys Dennis NEVER liked fighting with low kick rules the powers that controlled Kickboxing in those days gave way to much power to Bob Wall and Alexio which is one of the reason the sport never took off here in the U.S. if you look at their careers post this fight Stan fought everyone was in K-1 etc and Dennis stayed in Hawaii and fought hand picked opponents and still called himself "undisputed" world heavyweight champion lol

  • Hows that a legal kick.. He broke his oponents bones.. It's not part of the game of kickboxing..

  • @Dimitri0809 fuck some of you people are hilarious. let me paint a picture for you, if a boxer throws a left hook to the body and breaks his opponents ribs, thus scoring a victory, should the left hook be deemed illegal becuase it caused an injury...even though its a legal fucking blow?! some of you dickheads need to use your head before you open your mouths and make the world a little dumber.

  • @striker2479

Not if it breaks bones.. If it lands and doesn't cause the breaking of bones then you should be rewarded a point for each blow. but if you break your oponents bones it's not part of the game.

  • @Dimitri0809 you're an idiot, you need to stay away from anything that requires a little brain power. you are way to stupid to explain this to. just know that your wrong and you need to go away.

  • @Dimitri0809 your fucken retarded arent you?, or are you just taking the piss out of us???

lemme guess, if someone gets punched in the head and gets knocked out its an illegal blow??? go away and watch lawn bowls you fucken monkey

  • FOR YOUR INFOMATION DENNIS ALXIO HURT HIS ANKLE WHEN THE BELL RANG IF YOU WATCH CARFULLY LONGINIDIS DIDNT EVEN KICK HIS ANKLE DENNIS ALEXIO HAD A BAD NIGHT LONGINIDIS WAS LUCKY LOL

  • @sonselarom it wasn't his ankle that broke, it was the tibea and fibula that broke, which is exactly where stan kicked him. he didn't simply roll his ankle. nice try though.

  • if stan takes credit for this fight which he did well hes a moron, alexio busted his leg if it didnt break things would have been different

  • @Brady2k10 stan busted his leg with a kick, if alexio did the same to stan then he would have rubbed it in stans face. as for it being different, i agree, it would have lasted a few more rounds until alexio was stopped with low kicks. as for morons, well, you definitely have the experience to comment on that i guess.

  • @striker2479 yeah and as for cunts you have the experience to comment on that

  • @Brady2k10 oh wow! awesome comeback! lol!

  • HAHA i met him today got his autograph :D

  • 1:10 reminds me so much of kickboxer

  • awesome!

  • FLUKE ALEXIO HAD BROKE THAT LEG A YR B4 THIS FIGHT THAT WAS FLUKE SHIT ALEXIO WOULD OF KILLED STAN THE FLUKE LONGINDIS

  • Comment removed

  • denni alexio is a mad cunt

  • Breaking someones leg shouldn't be a part of kickboxing rules the rules are to drop someone not break bones. Stan should of been disqualified for that.

  • @Dimitri0809 that's one of the funniest posts i've ever read. i don't know if you were trying to be funny, or if you are actually an idiot, but thanks either way!

  • @striker2479

Last time I checked it wasn't part of kickboxing rules to break someone's bones to win a match you're only to inflict enough pain to you're opponent until they can no longer fight there is a difference between incapacitating you're opponent and breaking bones and breaking bones should not have anything to with an fighting sport.

  • @Dimitri0809 so if you throw a legal technique, and the other guys bone breaks because of poor conditioning or poor leg checking ability, you should be disqualified? should a boxer be disqualified if he throws a left hook and breaks the other guys jaw and knocks him out? seriously, are you for real?

  • it's also part and parcel of the fight gamer that injuries occur sometimes. this isn't a fucking tickling contest!

  • @striker2479

Well I guess if you want to play under those rules But I prefer the traditional way where you wear you're opponent down so he/she can no longer fight but I breaking bones is a completely different rule.

The idea of boxing or any unarmed fighting sport wearing padded gloves or knees is to inflict enough force through you're opponent so that you're opponent can no longer withstand anymore pain or becomes too dizzy or disoriented to from the impacts to the head or body.

  • @Dimitri0809 what do you mean "if you want to play under those rules"? the rules are universal, they are the same everywhere in the world, if you throw a LEGAL technique and your opponent is injured as a result of that, you win the fight. Suggesting Stan should have been disqualified is one of the single most ridiculous arguements i have ever heard. are you suggesting fighters should purposely take some power off their shots in case they injure their opponent? are you kidding or what?

  • @Dimitri0809 a low kick is one of the most common techniques used in the sport. if alexio's leg breaks as a result of a common strike, and i'm sure Stan didn't EXPECT to break his leg with the first kick of the fight, then why the hell should Stan be disqualified? If you are incapacitated as a result of a blow, you lose! Should a boxer be disqualified if he throws a left hook to the body that breaks his opponents ribs? Dude, maybe combat sports isn't your thing.

  • @striker2479 HAHA I don't know why you wasted so much time on that idiot.

Alexio should've kept his weak shins in PKA where low kicks aren't allowed. Anytime he fought with low kicks he lost.

  • @HeFilmsTheClouds i don't even know why i bother dude, sometimes i just can't believe how stupid some people are.

  • @striker2479 lol I know what you mean. You think if you can put it into simple words they'll get the point but they rarely do.

I checked his recent activity and he wrote in the comments section on this video that someone should go into MMA with this style:

    watch?v=ID39dGbUBsY

Hopefully he'll stop watching combat sports and move onto soccer or something. But then he'll probably complain that they shouldn't use their hands when throwing the ball in from the sidelines.

  • @HeFilmsTheClouds or watch tennis and complain that if a player hits a winning shot that causes his opponent to dive for the ball and fall over then the player who won the point should be disqualified.

  • @striker2479 I agree with the tennis rule. I don't know if you've ever got grass stains on white clothing before, but they're a bastard to get out.

How about....if the player who won the point is willing to pay the cleaning bill or buy the losing player a new tennis outfit they get the point. And if they don't, they're disqualified. Fair compromise?

  • @HeFilmsTheClouds Thank you...Alexio is a damn bully he would hand pick opponents and choose those with a losing record as a boxer he got his ass kicked the first time he fought a fighter with a winning record...a clown for sure...he should have pursued a porn career with that dirty stache

  • @djk28161 Even though this was before K-1, there were a lot of great fighters he never fought. He did fight Cikatic, but got DQ'd after sucker punching him in a referee break. He never fought Mo Smith, Peter Aerts or Ernesto Hoost who were all around back then.

He retired in 98, which gave him five years to prove he was as good as he claimed by competing in the K-1 GP. But he didn't......Probably because they allowed low kicks and he knew he'd get his ass handed to him by the Dutch elite.

  • I must admit, I'm a Dennis Alexio fan but not a nut hugger. I have to ask this, "Why do these videos never show how Alexio found holes in the ring before the fight?" They supposedly fixed one hole but they were fighting in Stan's hometown and common. Why don't they shoe that? Why? Why???

  • @44hanslanda because there was no "hole". easy question, easy answer.

  • Why fight over spilled milk because: it isn't like you can get it back in the glass. It was a great opportunity for two formidable opponents to have an epic fight....life happens, Alexio's leg got broken, end of story. This is a contact sport...no one is above an injury.... and having one or being the cause of one doesn't make you any more or less an athlete....so put this "controversy" to rest and let these folks have their glory....both deserve it...

  • @mfreitas54 You've known him so long but you spell his name wrong?

  • @mikeytheblack Obviously it was equipment malfunction :) Oh and BTW his name is DENNIS DIX from Vacaville, California. He only changed it after he got the idea to "act" in the late 80's!!!

  • Heroes fight like GREEKS

  • @LVSWTZ

bs, that legkick broke his leg, simple as that

  • @Elfop1ccolo i'm affaid not

  • @LVSWTZ

dude the doctors even said so, it was a spiral fraction (on the exact same spot he broke his legg earlier)

nothing to do with the floor, the damage was done by the kick, it just snapped when he put his weight on it by standing on it

  • @Elfop1ccolo perhaps will really know......they really should've had a rematch.

  • @LVSWTZ

    true

  • These are the real fighters and not the stupid ass Tapout gay crap ufc shit of today.

  • Thanks for the upload! Great video

  • I cant believe some of the shit comments you guys have made. I'm an Aussie and l like Alexio as he was a World Champion and great to watch when he fought. Stan "The Man" was great to watch because he to was a World Champion and a fantastic kicker. 2 Great fighters came together and fought and one copped a leg kick in the lower leg and it broke. Stan won the title and wanted a rematch but it never happend? End of story..

  • with that atitude he desreves nothing better, freakin dress in a ring...idiot...

  • that hurts to watch...

  • Is it just me or does everytime a "world champion" who's a bit worried about his opposition suddenly go down with an extraordinary injury and the promise that the re match will be bigger and better? This is why most levels of professional fighting these days isn't taken seriously. Alexio was genuinely worried about Stan and in reality knew he couldn't beat him. His theatrics may have fooled the American kickboxing fraternity but Stan ended up being "The Man", for a reason.

  • that'll teach u to crossdress for a fight

  • Look, all i know is, Stan the man in his peak, was a loaded gun!

  • And I love how some of you can talk mad shit on here. I can guarantee that you wouldn't say ANY of the shit you say on here to Dennis face to face. I know Dennis on a personal level and I train with him here in Hawaii @ the Honolulu Club. He may be getting up there in age but he still moves just as fast and hits just as hard. I'd love to see ANY of you come to Hawaii and run your mouth to him face to face like you do on here.

  • ALso to those who are making jokes about the grass skrit,. Not nly did Dennis wear it because he lives in hawaii and loves the culture but he also used it to his advantage. If you watch some of his better fights with the grass skirt on, he would sway the skirt one way making it look like he was kicking with that leg, but end up using the other leg to attack.

  • stan ain't shit. got a lucky kick in thats all. they were to do it again, stan would get knocked the fuck out. fuck you all and your comments about alexio. breaking someones leg by luck doesn't make you number 1. having a 95% K.O ratio makes you number 1. so all you faggots shut the fuck up and go lick some balls and suck some dicks.

  • @acefx77 man i like alexio too but he received a legal kick ,broke his leg and lost. Didnt accept the rematch either. Dont disrespect his opponent it is as if you are disrespecting alexio himself. Especially when his opponent is Stan the man! if u like the sport and have watched any of his fights and achievements you would know.. ask dennis since you know him and stop acting like a spoilled child

  • I can't see what the fuck happened- it looks like his leg broke on the floor, somehow. Can a kick have broken his leg five seconds earlier, and he not shown any indication of feeling it? It seems unlikely.

  • @mikethebike7 read about sports science and injuries, learn a few things about injuries of this sort and you might understand it, your ignorance doesnt make it "unlikely"

  • @striker2479 dennis in prison??

  • hd91gya even if it was luck a win is a win!!! And all i can say WHAT A WIN!!! .. :D

  • Stan is and will always be no 1!

  • stan is still the man

  • fuck u all stan was a gun.

  • alexio got his pretty boy ass handed to him, stood in a hole !!lol just couldnt handle the fact he was beat..

  • How many years did Stan hold that belt? hahahaha... Alexio held it for many many years... what about stan... Hey, stan got one good kick in... Good for him...

  • @crazymike44

what about k-1 and your great american pussy!

he was never in the big circuit because ?? tell me

  • Ummm... K-1 wasn't around back then!!! Look it up on wikepdia... it didn't even begin until 1993. This fight here was in 1992

  • Dennis Alexio is shite compared to stan longinidis. Alexio wasnt trained muay thai style unlike longinidis who went from western style kickboxing to muay thai and in 1996 actually won a WMC World Heavyweight Muaythai Title in Thailand.

What good are you when you cant even take a kick to the leg like that?

Weak legs. That was his only loss in that division, which goes to show that when you step up to fight a "real fighter" who will bring the brute, you better bring your game!

  • Comment removed

  • stan = time world champion

  • Hole in the Ring OR good leg kick ? Does any body think it could be a combination of both... Years later people still talk about this fight ....lol its just to bad we will never get to see a rematch.

  • ha ha i agree with you fucking americans cant hack losing.

  • LOL stepped in a hole.

If by hole you mean a swift kick to the leg than yeah....he stepped in a hole.

  • stan rules alexio couldnt hack been beat .. ive stepped in plenty off holes and im pretty sure most off u have too its only common sense that steppin in a whole doesnt break ur leg hahahahaha .. wat a joke

  • I cringe everytime I see that break

  • BRAVO STAN EISAI TERASSSSSSSS

  • the only pigs are in mexico

  • I have met Stan the Man and he is a great bloke. He put that cocky yank in his place and Alexio still couldnt admit Stan was better than him.

And then spent the next five years dodging him. Arse.

  • Its funny that during his post fight interview after his Darrell Henegan fight, they asked him, "What about Stan Longinidis?" Alexio: "What about him?" He should have known those words would have jinxed him for the fight. ("What about Thailand?" "What about it?" ended with him being put in a wheel chair for life.)

  • Chop that wood! lol. What a powerful kick.!

  • Humiliation :) I don't think I'd want to meet either of these guys. For.Any.Reason!

  • TURKISH FOODS = feta, yogurt, baklava, houmous, doner kebab, turkish delight

  • TURKISH FOODS: Pig, pig, pig. LMAO!

Its strange how a nation of pigs eat pigs lol!

  • Stan hangs out with criminals??? In USA he was with Law enforcement and is a GREAT MAN...........

  • Stan is the man

but why do kickboxers have hang out with criminals?

  • did any one see it!!! if you look closely at 1.20 you can see underworld figures "mario condello" and at 3.00 you can see "tony mokbel" behind stan's left shoulder LOL

  • Hahaha ye its Tony Mokbel.

  • He lost from Tong Po :P..Eric Sloan..Dennis is a real shamp

  • omg

did u guys know he is my uncle!

    i nkow im so cool

    nah nah

HE IS THE BEST UNCLE EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

    my mums cousin lol

    :P

    x

  • SamoaOG you're an idiot. Alexio fought with Lwo Kicks just as much as PKA rules. He fought Don Wilson (who was an awesome Low Kick fighter) under Low Kick Rules. If the leg break didn't happen, I think Alexio would have won. Also he wore a grass skirt, cuz he lived in Hawaii and loved the culture. Also HellenicWarrior, his leg broke cuz Alexio broke his leg a year before.

  • alexio had a handful of low kick fights, losing two of them (to wilson and longinidis). he had 10 times more pka rules fights, so your facts are a little off there.

  • Huh even if ALEXIO didnt fracture his shin frm Stans kick , Stan still would of whoop ALEXIO's azz hands down...

Stan was a Leg kick fighta and ALEXIO a PKA above tha waist fighter... Dnt no why ALEXIO wore grass skirt when he aint HAWAIIAN ...LOL..

Stan was trained by tha great late DANA GOODSON R.I.P.

  • Thats what you get for wearing a skirt.

  • This is what happens in sport, if a stop kick could have been used to the kicking leg it would have been the other way round, but that's sport and Stan is still the man.

  • 2 greek's fight for the world title!!!!!

  • if alexio's leg gets broken from stan's first kick of the match how is that NOT a WIN for stan??? this is madness are you people retarted? Stan won the match, the sport is kickboxing!

  • i agree but that doesn't mean that stan is a better fighter...if dennis didn't break his leg, things would have went differently for sure!

  • a better fighter includes the fighters conditioning, unfortunately for dennis stan was the better fighter on the night, and dennis didnt break his OWN leg, stan broke dennises leg therefore stan is the better fighter. you cant say "f dennis didn't break his leg, things would have went differently for sure!" because thats just talk, meaningless talk

  • all i'm saying is that i would have loved to see a lot of a longer fight out of those two guys...i know stan didn't get lucky..i know he's a bad dude...i wouldn't wanna win like that

  • Not Stan's fault Alexio crumbled after one kick. I'm sure Alexio would have loved it if he sparked Stan that quickly...but he didn't. lol!

  • This is bs i mean Alexio didnt even get one hit on the man, and he thinks he earned that title... Alexio would've knocked the shit out of him if it wasnt for the leg break.

  • hey theres mokbel

  • The fight was rightly ruled a No Contest by the WKA - neither fighter won, or lost.

The injury was a confirmed spiral fracture - which can only be caused by a severe twisting force - not blunt trauma. If you watch the video closely, you can see the leg break BEFORE the kick is even thrown (it was caused by Alexio stepping in a soft spot in the ring floor padding). No big deal - it happens - only sad part is they never had a rematch, so we'll never know who was actually the better man.

  • Incorrect, the WKA kept it as it always was, a win to Stan. The WKA used to have a monthly magazine and it was confirmed there.

Even Alexio now admits it as a loss, he used to have a MySpace page where he listed his record as 70-2. (loss to Wilson and to Longinidis)

right after the fght Alexio tried to cover up the loss with the excuse because he didnt want to destroy his money value for an upcoming movie rolewhich the movie didn't go ahead anyway. LOL!

  • Not true - to this day it's a no contest.

Alexio has never said any of the above - the myspace page you mention was put up by over-zealous Longinidis fans. Ditto for the continous re-edits to his wikipedia page.

The no-contest ruling was a big deal when it happened - those of us who were around that scene at the time remember it well.

  • Sorry, it's a win to Stan. The WKA never changed the ruling, they always listred him as their chapion after this fight (this fight was for the WKA belt) until Stan vacated in 1999.

Some American based orgs didn't list the result at Alexio's request (and Alexio sold his BS story to fool them and you) but nobody else in the world regraded this as anything other than a win to Stan. In fact his hole in the mat excuse made him a laughing stock amongst the international fight community.

  • Nope... Ahhhhh....

Sorry but wrong again, mate. Opposite happened -only the local WKA in Australia refused to accept the no contest - everywhere else, including the ISKA, ruled it a no contest.

BTW, I'm neither a fan of either fighter - in fact, if push came to shove I respect Stan the Man more than Alexio. I'm just saying things didn't go down like you say.

What are you gonna tell me next ? That Billy Bishop didn't shoot down the Red Baron LOL!

  • You're welcome to believe that, but if you looked at international magazines at the time (american black belt mag doesn't count) and international kickboxing magazines to this day, it has always been regarded as a win to Longinidis. It was reported in Holland, Japan etc as a win to Stan, and the WKA everwhere always ruled it to Stan. Like I said, feel free to contact them and ask Paul Ingram or contact the ex-pres Dale Floyd.

  • There's another vid here on youtube where the WKA president Dale Floyd, who had flown in from Canada, was commenting on Stan whilst co-commentating one of his fights and he stated the Alexio win was a WKA record for quickest title fight victory. And every other org, including ones Alexio held a title in, recorded it as a win, such as the IKF.

  • @striker2479 i like you, nothing personal i just go around youtube insulting people who i think i can provoke a reaction out of, its funny, but seriously why do you hate alexio so much i am genuinely interested

  • By the way, I was "around the scene" at the time too, and the mat excuse was laughed at by everyone. He made up that excuse over a week after the fight, while he was hospitalized in Australia there was never a question of how or why the leg broke, you can ask the ringside doctor, the promoter and the operating surgeons that...and I know them all... and Alexio sure never mentioned that to Stan when Stan visited him in the hospital.

  • "the myspace page you mention was put up by over-zealous Longinidis fans. Ditto for the continous re-edits to his wikipedia page."

Alexio's wikipedia info was submitted by Mr Steve Fossum, president of the IKF, an American organisation whose title Alexio once held. So much for the overzealous Longinidis fan theory. They adhered to the same ruling that everyone else did, a loss. Alexios record is on their site. The fact that Alexio's PR people spread a blatant lie didn't fool everyone.

  • As for the WKA, feel free to contact the WKA president Paul Ingram, or it's former president Dale Floyd (who presided at the time of the bout) and see how the fight was recorded in their ratings.

  • Spiral fractures are most commonly associated with physical abuse. Your theory that it can't be caused by force is plain wrong.

The fight was listed as a win everywhere else in the world, and has always been regarded as a win except by those in Alexio's pocket.

Tell me why everyone including his manager stated it was a win by an excellent kick?

  • Alexio's AWESOME roumdhouse kick at 4:11

  • That happens when you pretend to beat another guy wearing a skirt! :P

  • Did anyone notice in the interviews footage, when interviewing Stan The Man on his win a bloke baring a striking resemblence to Tony Mokbell? Have a look closely and you can see another that looks like Mario Condello standing nearby in the background as well!!!

  • That's because it is indeed Tony Mokbel!

  • thought so! Shows how Mokbel may have had his connections to Greece then, cause isn't he Lebbonese or something?! I wonder if the cops know of this footage? I cant believe The T.V show Underbelly has been banned in Victoria! Stories all about the underworld!

Striker you a Victorian boy too?

  • Let Australia have something to be proud about for once and take some credit for what it was. A convincing win. Americans always gloats about winning world war2! Yet dont consider other factors. So lets call it even. America can have WW2 to it's credit. We can have Stan The Man for ours! ;)

  • I was at that fight when stan fought ALEXIO , That fool ALEXIO pussyed out when stan legged kicked him and ALEXIO Legged checkd him... LoL.....

WATS up wit tha grass skirt ALEXIO ????? , He aint even POLYNESIAN....

  • damn could of been a legendary fight.. great win for Stan oooooooooo-RAAAAHHH! but bummer match..

  • Why would you be upset? that is the beauty of the fight game. If Alexio beat everyone, how boring would it be? If the Red Sox did not win now and again, there would be no great rivalry. Alexio lost twice, once in the beggining of his career, and once at the end. He is considered by most to be the overall best Pro Kick Boxer of all time, or at leat up until now.

  • This video breaks my heart. Alexio will always be a hero to me, just for what he's all about and what he did. When I hear Carlos Suntana I think of Dennis and his generous help and the story always brings a smile to my face. It's a funny one. Thank you again, Dennis.

  • Its simple, who has a better Record, Stan or Dennis?! Then you will know who is the best fighter is. Stan is lucky. I'm pretty sure a teenager can hit holyfeild and get lucky at least once. LOL!

  • Pretty ridiculous comment. You can't look at simple numbers to determine who has a better record.

For example, Evander Holyfield's record is 42-8, Rob Calloways is something like 74-6. So are you going to tell me Rob Callaway is a better fighter? Please. Stan's 83-8 record contains far better quality opposition than Dennis' 70-2 record.

  • Not to mention Stan's stats are better than Dennis' anyway. 8 Times world champ, world Muay Thai champion (won the belt in Thailand!) World Full Contact Champ, 6 Low Kick World Titles, first Aussie to win an 8 man heavyweight tournament, beat several world champs...Dennis is a legend but Stan was The Man!

  • Not to mention that Stan is a Greek. We fight like true warriors.

  • be lucky than good, ie: Ali vs. Frazier (the lunging left hook), Tyson vs. Holyfield (where Holyfield had to have set a record for the most HEADBUTTs in one fight), etc. It was kinda funny, but also pathetic to watch all the Australians gloat after this incident. Well, let the namecalling and cheap insults fly :) .

  • For crying out loud, he got LUCKY. Stan does not have the skill OR the speed to be any match for Dennis had luck not been on his side. After watching many of each guy's fights, well, it's obvious who is the more skilled and powerful fighter. Unfortunately, there are many times when it's better to...

  • There isn't a nicer man than STAN! He came to Foxwoods a few years back to fight. Eddy Catucci had me showed Stan around Rhode Island and Foxwoods. We became good friends. He is a TRUE Champ. It was my honor to be part of the team! God Bless you Stan the Man!!!

    Tim F.

  • No, We could imagine. Only the speaker could not imagine. Stan had a VERY VERY VERY STRONG RIGHT FOOT hit. Everybody knows that. The result was expected especially if Alexio had a breaked his left foot. The result was normal.

  • stan smashed him good with that kick man. cant get over how gruesome that looks when it snaps. how dumb were alexio fans to deny this happened when his own manager stated on tv it was a great win for stan. dummies!

  • If there was no Stan the man, there would be no Sam Greco, no Mike Zambidis, Ozkan, Parr, etc etc. No Kickboxing in Australia.

  • I tell you what, Dennis Alexio's rear round kick is one of the best I have ever seen.

  • WOW! Top footage! Go Stan "The Man"!

  • also alexios manager congratulates stan and says there would be a rematch when dennis recovered, but did dennis ever fight with leg kicks again?

  • I think Alexio stuck with full contact rules after this.

  • cool vid. wow check out alexio's leg break, gruesome! that first clip shows the fight from an angle i had never seen before, the usual angle doesnt let you see the real brutality of the leg folding after the kick when alexio hops backwards. looks like stan kicked him right on the lower part of the leg as alexio tried to block it. alexio looks awkward after the kick, you can see it looks unstable as stan is following up with punches. stan the man was always reknowned for a devestating low kick.

  • A Bit of trivia for you. Notice after the fight when Stan gets interviewed and tells critics to kiss his arse. Behind him over his shoulder do you notice Fugitive Tony Mokbel. Heard he was like a lot of us a huge fan and backed 'The Man' to ko Alexio and won big money.

  • Hey, i was there and the atmosphere was electric! Kept the program and ticket stubs, this was the peak of kickboxing in Australia and it was driven by many fighters but most of all Stan. What a night and what great memories. Will there ever be another? I don't think so. Thanks Stan.
