  • wow. that would be incredible. was it locked up or what? I'm surprised it wasnt converted to some other use with the conversion to civilian use. I look forward to the pics. I have heard that it isnt as friendly for Americans as it used to be. or have I been misinformed? I would love to come back and see the place its been over 30 years since I was there

  • VERY friendly to Americans. I just walked into the ol' building and took some video. However, my video was not quality enough to post. I will shoot some more and post in Oct of the inside of the admin and portrait building. Some security guards did walk over to me and I just smiled and stated, "It's okay, I used to work here." They smiled back and left. It's on the video. Great place to live and wonderful, friendly people.

  • Yes Ltjg Gannon was there while I was there. Fresh out of Photo A school I'm pretty sure he would remember me, I tried to pose a captain at quarters and when he wouldnt move from the podium I walked out on him. hahaha I didnt have a clue. Needless to say I was in front of the Lt the second I pulled into the photo lab hahaha

  • That's okay both he and his LCPO (the fat tall guy) were both fired. They would go diving all the time during working hours. My bride and I are builiding vacation home in Subic. I will post pictures of the inside of the Photo adm building in Oct. The false ceiling is starting to cave in but otherwise has the same lay out of front desk, studio, admin area, duty bunk room and so forth.

  • You probably know LTjg Gannon and Charles Hubbard.

  • I was stationed there as well. 1978-82
