  • At the moment where his brothers pass by when hes a baby and he waves and smiles almost shly this is the dialouge that plays in my head "oh hey everyone! I know I know. You love!" O.O I think i need to stop staying up till 3 in the morning.

  • we watched this in church yesterday. I almost cried at some parts

  • @FireWoman21 hi, if you think this movie is grate why don't you watch, the jesus film, just goes to jesus film on youtube

  • does it sound higher pitch?! O__O

  • am i the only jew here?

  • @mizshoppah are u a Jew? wow...

  • Comment removed

  • @Sheina061988 The only reason that God would put one man above another is because of stronger love for God and religious commitment, not because his/her parents were this or that.

  • @Sheina061988 why wow? this story is in the torah too u know, not just the bible

  • This is a true story :)

  • i love the animation in the movies of DREAMWORKS its just so awesome and looks so real

  • @SatoshiFan100 hear hear!

  • Love this Movie! I coundn't have done better!!!

  • c en anglais je cherche en français moi :(

  • It's not Joseph's fault, but that is messed up to be playing favorites!!

  • kind of arrogant isn't he?? XD still, that is a nice coat XD and it seems a little faster than it should be, like, its going faster .. . . . . maybe its just me XD

  • @LionshadeElricfan He is an arrogant brat the way they depicted him here, haha. But you can't put all the blame on him, since he was brought up that way. He sings "things you've told me all my life" referring to his being a miracle child.

  • My favorite story in the Bible and movie(: But I wish they got the eldest brother right. Reuben was the eldest not Judah. Judah was actually the 4th son. But great movie!

  • I am doing a video series entitled "Who Is Joseph?" to prove from the Bible just who (and where) are the people on the earth today that are of the lost Israelite Tribe of Joseph. Today I uploaded Part 2 and 3. There will be at least one video per week, Lord-willing.

  • *should*

  • It's not fair the way the brothers treat Joseph but the dad while treat the other sons better too :(

  • i use to love this movie when i was little :)

  • i feeel bad for the brothers :( even though their rlly mean to him after :/

  • HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE XX GO FCK YOURSELVES X

  • @misshyde051 I do believe that this was in the Torah far before the bible was created.

  • @drugssexandtrumpets does it really matter?? :D just watch the movie X3

  • Love it! Thank you.

  • Jacob Shouldn't Treat His other Sons like that :(

  • happy Birthday jesus :D

  • @Link4372 and to you, my friend. happy christmas

  • No it's okay my mom told me. And I checked the bible.

  • the father's an asshole for neglecting the other sons, Thats what fuelled the jealousy of joseph brothers

  • I'm a Muslim... So

Can someone please explain the true story if the facts about this movie isn't true? I read some below comments and I'm confused,

    Thankyou :)

  • @sillysilvergirl1357 No one can tell you anything you need to find out yourself, pick up a bible.

  • what a cocky little bastard

  • This movie needs to be edited by someone who knows the bible and actually learnt this since they were in diapers. i am a jew and i know this story and its got a lot of false facts.

  • @Msflixmix Like what? I'm writing a paper on how its different for my Hebrew bible class so if you could expand that'd be great!

  • @meep150 Joseph or his hebrew name yosef, never had a dream about the wolves, his siblings were not that cruel. It was partially yosef's fault that he showed off about his dreams and such and yakkov or jacob's fault for favoring yosef. Asneas actually told Potifar that Yosef was innocent before he was sent to jail and because of that had the merit of marrying yosef. Potifar only sent Yosef to jail because if he didn't it would ruin the reputation of his household.

  • @meep150 Also another interesting point is that Pharoh said his dream differently than he saw it for two reasons. One, Pharoh was standing ontop of the Nile and he said beside to show honor to the Nile because it was his god. Second point is that he was testing Yosef. He also tested Yosef before he interpreted the dream by asking him if he new all 70 languages and Yosef actally knew all 71. Since Pharoh didn't want the people to know that there was someone smarter than him he told Yosef that..

  • @Msflixmix he can't tell anyone and actually this promise was used against him in the future. Yosef wanted to leave Egypt to bury his father in Caanaan because he promised Yaakov But Pharaoh wouldn't let and said he should break the promise. Then Yosef said if i can break this i can break the promise about the languages so Pharoh let him go. What's amazing about this is that i'm only a kid and if you ask any jewish kid they will all know this at such a young age.

  • I'm not even religious and I freaking love this movie. :3

  • I feel so sorry for those brothers. It's no wonder they are so full of resentment.

  • i used to have this movie, i still love it(: but my most favorite one now is jesus movie and it has the most amazing actor in it, playing jesus, his name is brian deacon(:

  • This movie scared the crap out of me as a kid.......XD

  • I've been looking for this movie for ages!!! its been bugging me and im so glad i finally found it!

  • an old man have a baby with an old woman...

  • does anyone know the name of that first tune?

  • oh great now I have to find DIsneythievesrock's comment

  • "for i am a miracle child"? Damn he sounds conceited. can't really blame the guy though, it's his father's favoritism that did the job.

  • Comment removed

  • thank you

  • Joseph reminds me of the animated character Hercules from the classic Disney movie. Especially his singing voice :)

  • Even though I'm an atheist, I love the animation and the music. A beautiful movie.

  • I LOVE the Bible and its history, but hollywood does not depict the truth accurately. They make Issac (the father) seem like an uncaring taskmaster. Joseph was just his favorite but he didn't treat his other sons as slaves. At least they attempted a biblical event. Oh, Joseph never had dreams about wolves in reality. Look at Genesis 30:19 and go on. The truth is much more beautiful. Have a blessed day!

  • @misshyde051 and yet the truth is stranger than fiction the books r based loosely on defined details of "other wordly" deeds such as aliens and UFO's but i have to agree with ya tho no father of the time period this is set in treated thier sons like slaves the family as a whole did the work not just of few

  • @misshyde051 I think that the wolves symbolize Joseph's brothers.

  • @misshyde051 I agree with what you said, but just to make a small (but important correction) Joseph's father is Jacob, not Isaac. Isaac was Jacob's father. God Bless. :)

  • Comment removed

  • @misshyde051 yes it's not historically correct but, it's for kids

  • @misshyde051 I think that they meant to depict him as if he were so caught up with Josef that he doesn't really pay attention to the others

  • @misshyde051 The father's name was Jacob by the way

  • @eromedaniel2 I was also just about to say the same thing, It's Jacob.

  • @misshyde051

    actually JACOB was Joseph's father

    ISAAC was Jacob's father

  • @GameStarGreen Ooh ok thank you (:

  • It's funny how they didn't show anything about Dinah (or even her appearance) in this movie, but I still love it and the Tanakh

  • This isn't how the real bible story is but I do love this and the prince of egypt this Is one of my fav story's isn't god wonderful? It's so hard livening god and being a teen in today's world :'(

  • Wait , why is he a miricle child ?

  • @xSimplyiyarix Because Rachael was not "capable" of eer having a child, so it was a miracle that she was blessed with a son (actually two sons counting Benjamin). For more info, read the biblical texts or as I read, the Tanakh. hope you found this info useful

  • oh my god we have to learn this for theology! there are so many differences with the actual story

  • oh my god we have to learn this for theology!

  • Lol this guy is the prehistoric douche.

  • @drugssexandtrumpets coolest thing i heared all week :)

  • The 5th time I watch it xD

  • Joseph's brothers did love him, but they were jealous of him aswell

  • @japaneseladysamurai Exactly, they were jealous because Jacob had never spent or paid so much attention/time to Leah and his first children as much as he did with Joseph.

  • This is my favorite movie as well as the Prince of Egypt. I love movies like this and I wish I went to Cathloic school. I love movies about Egypt. This sounds wrong of me to say but in this movie Joseph is so attractive...

  • It's another boy.Wow.Shocker

  • @pink10188 I was exactly that. :p

  • @pink10188 *thinking

  • It won't load

  • Comment removed

  • when i was in catholic school i seen a buch of movies like this

  • 6:54 gotta love the guy's face on the right =)

  • I <3 this movie so very very very much :) along with the Prince of Egypt.

  • joseph is my cousin

  • Joseph is indeed a Miracle. I love Bible stories

  • I don't blame Joesph. If you're parents are telling you all your life you are a miracle child and treat you above your brothers, of course you are going to think that way. I think I would have left and tried to make something for my self.

  • I don't think I would have sold him into slavery. I think I would have left....

  • I find it crazy that it doesn't bother them that mostly they're all only half-brothers

  • i'd be pretty pissed too if for all my life, my father favored this guy who really didn't do as much work as I did.

  • this movie use to freak me out when i was a kid...

  • If my parents had shown my lil bro that much favoritism I would have sold him too. He gets a badass coat while they're stuck with rags, of course they were gonna be pissed. Kid should be happy that they didn't gank him.

  • @alphathalassima Jospeh and Benjamin's father, Jacob, favored Jospeh more because he was the first born. Back then, the first born son got the majority (if not, all) of the father's blessing and inheritance when the father died.

  • I LOVE IT!IT IS AWSOME!!!!!!!

  • coz he was the next prophet too !

  • they were all from different mothers that is why they would be jeallous from him .. also his father ( prophet) favored him on them. I wonder why joseph and not benjamin !

  • Its nice to see a biblical movie much appreciated

  • @ProudChristian90 Prince of Egypt is also a good movie.

  • @ProudChristian90 This story is in Islam too... :o

(Even though it's obvious the movie was based off the bible, but... just saying lol.)

  • @ProudChristian90 This is my favorite movie

  • "Barren Wife" I would have been offended >_>

  • this movie is awsome!!

it's perfect for me since i'm christian and stuff like that :)

  • even god rested on the seventh day to play some xbox

  • this is a good movie to be a disney movie. we watched this movie in bible class at school.

  • You might have good intent in watching this over a curiosity that your mind has, but if you are really that curious, then the real TRUE story of this can be found in the Bible my friends.

  • started to watch it but realized i don't have time to watch this. I know what happened in real life since i believe, and i dont need to see an artist's portrayal of what happened. Any ways God commands thou shalt not make a graven image. The story may be correct, but jsut the fact that it's probably imitating messages and voices of the real God the Father makes it no good.. hope you can realize this.. We as humans are only allowed to depict it in our own minds.

  • This and Prince of Egypt are my two favourite Bible movies ever :)

  • Is this after of before prince of egypt?

  • @jmannunez about five to seven hundred years before

  • @Mofongoman69 ah ok thanks. for some reason it doesn't look any different so i guess that period in time nothing evolved in that country?

  • @jmannunez yeah you can say that. Just that, a few hundred years after they arrived in Egypt, they were enslaved. So I guess, it didn't work out at all. lol

  • @jmannunez after

  • is it disney's?

  • @RandomChick842 Ummm ... many babies are born with a full head of hair!! :o)

  • I've always loved this movie!!!! :o)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not a Christian and don't believe in anything in this movie but I still think it's a good movie :)

  • yeah I'd be PO'd if I were one of the brothers too. Not try to kill him or sell him off but still.

  • He is so FINE!

  • Always loved this movie..

  • Joseph deserved it, the cocky little prick. And what kind of parents show such horrible favouritism? D:<

  • @meeveepw They had bad examples since Isaac was the same way.

  • nowhere as good as the prince of egypt... still decent though. I get that they are different stories but the music in Prince of Egypt was breathtaking. Still gives me chills when i watch the opening scene.

  • hes 17

  • Is that Ben Affleck?!

  • why is it all of thouse brothers and not one girl how odd. no offence though!

  • @sweetieart13 There was one girl--Dinah.

  • Why did the creators have Judah be the oldest son?

  • God never rested. How can God rest?

  • @TheTurbanTV It mentions it in the bible in the early chapters of Genesis.

  • @BlitzUltimate999 thats why im muslim... God doesnt need rest

  • @TheTurbanTV I see.

  • @TheTurbanTV Yeah, Yaweh doesn't need rest. He took the seventh day off to set an example for men--to take time off to rest our spirits and bodies. Otherwise we mortal types would work ourselves to death. Why do you think there's so much depression and stress in our society? No one takes a day off anymore.

  • @lionroar224 'even God took a rest' ... may i remind you.. and no you idiot.. the reson for destruction in this world isnt a lack of rest.. its a lack of compasion... muslims rest on the sabath but we dont belive that God rested... so God doesnt have to give us example to rest, its an instinct.. LOL

  • @TheTurbanTV Nope, God doesn't need to give us anything. He doesn't need to give us grace, or love, or kindness, or compassion. But He does. So it's not an absurd notion to think He wants to set that example (whether or not He did). And I am amused that you call me an idiot when I am supporting my argument with valid research and proper grammar. Note that when I say "depression and stress," I am not saying "destruction." That's your fault for misinterpreting my meaning.

  • @lionroar224 If God created us he could at least do us the favour of some grace, love, kindness and compassion. Cause for what reason was he suppose to make us then? His amusement? Weird way of thinking dude.....

  • @kittycattrashbag You can hardly say my thinking is strange when you know nothing about how I think. If people like you would just pick up a Bible you would understand what God is really like, and he is the very definition of grace, love, kindness, and compassion. He teaches His people to be all those things to others. And He punishes the wicked who have no compassion--or He used to before He gave His only son for our sins. You know nothing of my faith so don't disrespect it.

  • @lionroar224 no disrespecting dude, just questioning, i respect all religion when practised from love but i never realy get how angry some religious people get when someone does not believe the same as they do. I find it highly disrespectful that you would even suggest i would just pick up a bible to understand what god is realy like for i do not ask you to look into some sience and understand what evolution is all about. Thats just rude dude.......

  • @kittycattrashbag I never get angry when people don't see the truth. I am sad that people don't believe what I do, because of what I believe. And no, you are greatly disrespecting me by saying you refuse to read the Bible to know what God's like. I may not agree with other religions, but I do them the courtesy of reading about their beliefs so I can understand them. And I know evolution, too, "dude." My beliefs are founded in research as well as faith. As yours should be too.

  • @lionroar224 ow my unfamiliar youtube debate friend, I read some many books about religion, yes the bible too! I dont dare speak of things i know nothing about so dont worry, my opinions bout any type of religion are based on my own research and my own interpretation of it, as i am sure yours are too. I simply concluded I am not one for religion :) beautiful isnt it? The variety in people :)

  • @kittycattrashbag Beautiful and sad, yes. But I must wonder what parts of the Bible you have read. God's love is pretty much the fundamental belief of Christianity. If you've read the Bible you wouldn't have had to ask that. I don't mean to sound rude or anything. I just don't like people who talk to me like I'm stupid. Because I am not. There are too many unfounded stereotypes about Christians. People just don't know what we're really about--sad but true. Not that they listen.

  • the fundamental belief of christianity is to love your neighboor as you would yourself.

  • @estagonandfire No that is one of the commandments that Jesus said was important. The fundamental belief behind Christianity is that there is a God and He is loving, all-powerful, and involved in our lives. That's the very basis of all other beliefs related to Christianity.

  • @TheTurbanTV ........................dude that was wrong in like 97 different ways, i mean at least read the bible before u get into a religious debate, just enjoy the movie man

  • @TheTurbanTV what does he do for fun then?

  • He is how old and this is his first nightmare?

  • someones rather arrogant xD

  • This is one of my favorite bible stories. Along with Prince of Egypt too.

  • Okay fine - Joseph was spoiled by his dad because he loved Rachel over Leah...so if he hated Leah so much why did he have sex with Leah at least 10 times since he had 10 sons (if not more more times) He loved Rachel sooo much *sarcasm* but yet he still did the nasty with Leah despite being tricked......but then again men have more than one wife so Josephs favoritism still makes no sense...if he was the oldest it might...

  • @Duszka He had babies with Leah but he also had kids with Rachel's servant since she was barren and then slept with Leah's servant when she was done having babies. The sisters were in competition with each other over who could have the most kids since Rachel was barren until Joseph and later Benjamin.

  • @thr3ebyTD It still makes the dad a pig....seems only the men benefit in these situations and the wives and children suffer.

  • @Duszka It was the custom of the times...unfortunately. But it wasn't right for the sisters to throw Jacob in the middle of their fight either. I do think it was wrong of him to show favoritism though. But he was only human and Rachel was barren until Joseph. He probably couldn't help himself. He loved Rachel but since Leah was older he had to marry her first and then Rachel. So it goes back and forth. The sisters were competing and Jacob played favorites. In the end the consequence's got them.

  • @thr3ebyTD Actually, Jacob had his first 4 sons and a daughter with Leah, then two more sons with Leah's servant, then two sons with Leah again, totalling his first eight sons. He then had two sons with Rachel's servant before having Joseph and Benjamin with Rachel (who died in childbirth with Benjamin) ... :o)

  • @dotmacis Okay. I probably misread or skipped a verse. It happens.

  • i love how "joseph" is so gorgeous. ahahah

  • Well I am a triplet who weighed 1 pd when I was born 3 months early to a sergate mother, but you dont seen me dancing and singing about how I am special haha

  • Joseph has pretty handsome brothers lol

  • Damn his father for neglecting his other sons -___-

  • Favoritism at it's best.

  • @christellaiffy for real huh! lol damn

  • This is my 20th time watchin' this Movie xD

  • Captions make the video sound weird

  • whats with all the boys out of all the kids he had no girls

  • i really dont like how jacob isolated joseph from his brothers. He should have handled that better

  • I love this movie.. and ur rite the brothers dont age.. at all. like jared leto

  • Comment removed

  • never watched this movie before but i think it will be very nice!

  • @TheMrsBooBoo if its anything like the prince of egypt, im sure itll be good xD

  • The sad part is that you can see how much Joseph really loved his brothers. He's thrilled each time he finds out how to make their load lighter, he plays games with them until he's pulled away. If Jacob had shown less favoritism, I'm pretty sure even with the dream Joseph would never have been sold to traitors.

  • @Disneythievesrock all in God's plan :)

  • @Disneythievesrock Beyond that, you can tell that Joseph's brothers loved him as well. They were do happy to have another brother, so really Jacob is a reason that all of it happened. They may have sold him out, but it was because of the actions of the father. Which is really sad. I totally agree with what you put.

  • @xHyruleXPrincessx No you are wrong. The brothers of Joseph were jealous and did not know that Joseph was special. His father is a servant of the Lord (God) and knew that Joseph was a special child. The father had every right to treat Joseph on the way. If The brothers had opened the hearts and respect of truth.

  • @TheFantasyWorl93 You'd think even the most special of special could do with humility.

  • @TheFantasyWorl93 That does not really excuse the fact that the father treated his other sons like... well people to work his lands. If I were one of those sons, working all day long while my half-brother learns how to read and gets special gifts, I would be jealous as well and even hurt

  • @Disneythievesrock might be wise to remember that this is disney's adaption of the biblical story. A lot of scenes that appears in the movie that you never ever read about in the bible. Just a thought

  • @Knut02 I hate to be that guy, but Dreamworks made this movie, not Disney. same with The Prince of Egypt. it's still an awesome movie, and I love the art the best =)
