Years ago I went to Petty Enterprises in Level Cross NC. They were running big blocks in those days.

The Pettys were dyno'ing a 426 hemi NASCAR Hemi at WOT. THAT WAS THE SOUND OF THE ULTIMATE BLOODTHIRSTY BATTLE CRY!! I bet the sound of that engine alone caused Chevy and Ford engines to melt for miles around.

what people don't understand is its the torque that makes cars go fast because thats what makes the wheels spin faster

the hp does help but not too much

It was actually for a street car so it only made 950Hp. :-)
