is it just me.. or is it that Lord Elric's tale seems very much alike Arthas's in warcraft 3? I mean, dude with long white hair, finds a powerful runeblade (elric - stormbringer/ arthas - frostmourne) that steals souls, and he ends up killing everyone close to him... this is just too much coincidence not to assume that a few Warcraft creators were reading Michael Moorcock...

Tolkean, Moorcock, they used elements of Norse . later on the works became such a large part of fantasy fiction that elements of works and following - the Norse became a part of fantasy . one of the reasons to venture in the original legends.
