@MrByronio Because at the death camps, people were forced to do labor and work. After the low number of calories had hit them, or age, they died. Lots of the people who survived were reworded extra rations for doing incredible amounts of work. Just enough to keep them alive though. Im taking this from Morton Ferber, my grandpa, who lived for 9 months in a "Death Camp" but survived by doing slave-work and stealing food.

I just don't believe in the holocaust stories. How does one survive a death camp for 6 years, as so many "survivors" claim? Two weeks with no food or water and you die, why would someone intent on killing you feed, clothe and shelter s many people for so many years?

@MrByronio .... Most were given rations a piece of bread maybe some coffee and soup. It really depends on where they were located as well. As for their clothes they were given basically rags and weren't able to get new rags. Most didn't have any type of shoes. Some peoples will is stronger than others.

You can say they were treated poorly (they were in prison, after all) but the fact remains that you do not feed people for years if you would like them to be dead. People may have died of disease, some may have starved (the Allies did destroy every bridge, road and harbor they could) but enough supplies were sent to sustain jews in camps for years.

But more people survived these camps than died in them. Some survived several "death camps" for 6 years or more.
