  • pretty good driver

  • How did you get such good traction on the rear end?

What brand of tire and model?

Any sand bags or something heavy in the trunk?

  • @texan176 Just cheapass Sumitomo tires and just subwoofers in tha trunk

  • I was like wooooooookw at the end when u saw ur plates.... Ur from Delaware like me :) and we just got a snow storm yesterday :) what part of Delaware r u from?

  • @StruggleComplete ha I bought and have sold it already but last year in 6 inches snow with brand new all weatherish tires I did fine!!!! It's all about the driver and even My 88GT did fineand that was with performance radials!!! LOL

  • I have an 02 Mustang GT and i drive it in snow every winter, so far i have had no problems, of course it gets stuck sometimes but hey what car does not get stock in snow except for SUVs and AWD cars

  • was this street on like cops? for people getn possoms or somethingg

  • @itscashednigga Huh?

  • This car looks sweeeet! I can drive my Mustang in the snow, I have to because it's my only car, just take it real easy and start braking waaaaay ahead of time. Crawl through the corners and go real easy on the gas. If people behind me get mad and wanna pass, then F them. I have driven it with snow cables on the rear.. it drives like a tank, but it's a lot safer. Of course then my top speed is 30 mph.

  • @epa316 Haha, you're exactly right, I usually do everything ya just said. Except for tha snow cables.

  • i understand an any type of vehicle its risky to drive on snow, but, im wanting to know how well stangs can handle snow, im 16 and in 2 days im getting my first 08' stang gt and im nervous cause im afraid im going to die if i drive on the snow, i dont plan on doing shit in the snow either, just getting from point a to point b, i wont be driving long distants in the snow n i wouldnt in any other vehicle, any tips or helpful advice/

  • @lyrsisttillthedeath1 with lack of experience its gonna be tough, to truly know how to drive in those kind of conditions you should get a 4wd vehicle and do some off roading to know what its truly like to not have traction, it helped me alot and a year or 2 down the road you will understand the characteristics of driving in slippery conditions and driving a mustang in the snow will be possible just as long as you use your brain

  • @lyrsisttillthedeath1 Umm, there is no such thing as an all-season tire. Unless you have radials on tha back, you'll be fine. Just brake in advance, be easy on tha clutch n dont go faster than 30mph, unless ya on tha highway.

  • @StruggleComplete i drove from Pennsylvanian to Indiana in bald rear summer tires in late December, Sumitomo High HTR Z II work surprisingly well in the snow for a summer tire (while they still have tread left on them), and once they go 3/16 inch of tread left then they die really quick and just get shitty real fast, and my abs module went bad during that time so there no traction control (i hate T/C) and i have to pump my brakes and take it easy on the brake pedal

  • @StruggleComplete

I don't know man I have a 2012 with summer only tires and after the first snow I went out and bought a 400 dollar winter beater. Forget that snow crap. Last car I would want to be in with snow on the ground.

  • @lyrsisttillthedeath1 just get some dedicated winter tires

  • this looks like so much fun. i love being able to do donuts without tearing my tires up. hahaha

  • can you say "summer car"?

  • Can a stang still drive on snowy roads without snow tires and sandbags in the truck or is it just too retarded to even try that?

  • @Dumpstermuffin1 i wouldnt drive in the snow unless you have winter tires and sand bags. dont drive period over 2 inches...too easy to get stuck

  • @Dumpstermuffin1 I've driven in snow up to 3 inches maybe, def not recommended

  • figure theyd have to do donuts in the snow

  • I saw this vid on myspace and posted the same comment I'm posting here. You're technically driving on water... lol. Bad timing, should have gone out earlier. lol :P

  • Nice car! Im thinking of buying one like a 2000GT but if you actually want to drive it in snow say like 4 inches, does it even have a chance?

  • Yeah but you need real winter tires in the back. I drive a 2006 with nokian winter tires

  • @magicalpoop ice is ice

  • @matttitaly8 uhh yeah.. I know that...I'm in Canada...we have snowfall 6months of the year...

with temperatures averaging -15 to -20 Celcius in the winter...

but the city always salts the roads. yes sometimes a freak snow fall + quick melt + then a drop in temp will make the entire city turn into an ice rink...thats when I stay the hell away from my car and any road for that matter :D

  • @magicalpoop so ur saying u can drive through "snow" with those tires? (not ice. snow)

  • @matttitaly8 Yes and No. it depends how deep the snow is, if it has been driven on before, and/or if any ice is on the road.

I live above Montana and we get a "Dry cold winter". ice doesn't occur much. The problem is most people don't invest any $ into decent tires. You need a good set of winter tires if you are to drive a sports RWD car. My friend in his 350Z doesn't do any better than me and we both have the same winter tires. I do have some sand bags in my trunk though to weigh it down.

  • @matttitaly8 And ultimately, it comes down to the driver. I see tons of SUVS/Trucks in the ditch cause they go gung ho and go beyond the posted speed limit. And like you said, ice is ice.

Unless you have chains or tire studs, the best tires with AWD and etc won't do you any good.

  • yep- i do it with mine

  • dog i been driving my 89 notch mustang all winter with pretty decent street tires.. no weight in the back and i make it just fine..

just go easy on the throttle and DO NOT gas on corners

  • @88MUSTANGGT88 you have to put sandbags in the back. thats what i do in my 89' camaro

  • @88MUSTANGGT88 If you ever drive a stang in snow, leave the traction control on. That's your safest bet, but even then you'll still have tire-spin. Mustangs are torque happy. And when you introduce it to the slightest bit of slick street, it turns into a death trap.

  • @SotaSamakari I never leave tha trac control on, it just messes me up as to how I'm driving

  • @StruggleComplete To be honest, neither do I. But for most drivers it's the best option because they don't know how to control a car once the traction is lost.

  • @SotaSamakari I see what you're saying, I'm just glad I have tha option of turnin that shit off.

  • @88MUSTANGGT88 nope

  • man i love 2 hear thoes mustangs v8 prrrrrrrr

  • i have done that in my 94 GT many times lol

  • got snow tires? i have high performance dry tires and they sometimes get loose on wet pavement..

  • I think in this vid, I had freshpair of tha stock Gatorbacks. I have Sumitomo HTR+ all around now. 275/45zr17's.

  • Horsing around at it's finest! It's good to know that there are Stang's out there that don't stay couped up in a garage all winter long. Nice vid, man c :

  • Damn rite! Haha, I won't be doin that in my future '04 Cobra. :)

  • rustang? thats the dumbest thing ever ur a douche if ur just goign to hate on stangs why are you watching mustangs in the snow? are you stupid?

  • now this guys loves his mustang!

its good how ppl are like na i never drive it in rain or snow and ive never done this, or that, but na, to really love a mustang you need to experience it allll

  • Thanks for tha very true words! But if I had a Cobra, she wouldn't even see clouds.

  • I was fucking with a front wheel drive car on snow...I was going abought 45 mph and then handbrake....left...right...left....right...and then baaam....outh of road...I have never driven a rear wheel drivr...on front wheel you need a full gas to get you out of slide..on rear... :S I dont know how would I get out of slide xD

  • Sucks, I did somethin like that, but with an SUV. Ended up breakin a rim, thankfully thats all the damage. But pullin tha handbrake is a little different than what I'm doin in tha vid. Keepin my foot on the clutch, I only give it a little gas, enough to make the wheels slip. Than turn the wheel depending on how tight you want to whip your rear end around. The tighter your turn the wheel, the more the inside front wheel would stay stationary (around 45seconds in, look at the front left wheel)

  • That doesnt kill your tires right since your on snow and not all pavement?

  • There was a good quarter inch of ice under tha snow. That whole circle was white snow before I came home haha

  • I'm planing to buy ford coswoth....4x4 it has 460 hp and it's weight abought 1,110 kg xD...it has 20%front 80%rear pull...so it will be new thing to me....I can't wait to drive it...then I won't need to wait snow to make some moves xD xD...

  • lookzz funn as hell but wwould never do that wit my car.. rear wheel drive = crash when used wit snoww

  • Haha, you're actually goin all of 5-10mph tha whole time. So it gives ya alot more reaction time, compared to doin that on strait pavement

  • god that looks fun!

  • sick dude..reason i ask is i have an 02 gt stock and I'm thinkin of puttin super 40's. but damn that sounds good i didn't think my stock system sounded like that =) never really heard it from outside.

post that new 1 with the 40's soon! nice vid bro

  • I've recorded a few little clips of video every few months since I had the Super 40's welded in. I'm about to download a cheap-ass movie editor n post a few of them. I'll let ya know when I upload them.

  • is that exhaust stock? dont think so, what is it?? super 40s??

  • That's stock exhaust bro. I put dual Super 40's on in the spring after the video was shot. But winter's rollin back around, so I might make another vid.

  • I just couldn't recommend doing that on a neighborhood street. You can always potentially hit a parked car (like that black SUV) and ruin a perfectly good day and hurt your car. My friends and I had the benefit of knowing where an abandoned parking lot was and took our rides there for some fun. Check the video out: 'Snow Fight: the Sallies Way', you'd like it.

  • Beautiful ride, tho.

  • Thanks man, I'm guessin that's your GT in tha vid? But on tha whole neighborhood street thing, my house is to the right of the circle, n tha green SUV was my brothers at the time, too bad you coulden't see my neighbors boyfriends cavalier that I almost scraped behind the SUV. haha

  • She was until someone on the side of the road decided it was a good idea to pull out in front of me and total 'er. It's funny in an ironic sort of way because a Cavalier is what I'm driving right now until I can afford a 96-98 Slobra.

  • Oooh, sorry to hear that. But we're ya speedin when they pulled out infront of you? Why not just go for a '99 or '01 Cobra. I love that front fascia on those. I would def replace my bumper with a '99, '01 Cobra bumper.

  • That's the thing lol. I rarely went the speed limit in that car, but that was one of the times where I figured I would just take it easy and go slower.

And I was thinkin of it. It's a possibility really. So it's 96-01 Cobra lol.

  • so is the mustang actually pretty decent in snow?

  • Haha, I've only driven it a few times in tha snow. It hardly ever snows here in Delaware, but I'm all over tha road when it does.

  • Honestly, it depends on what tires you have. I had Michelin Pilot Sport All-Seasons and the only problem I ever had was going up steep hills in the snow.

  • lol yeah... fun times playing in the snow... fun doin doughnuts and hey u dont go through tires haha...

  • Thats fun I would love to take my car in the snow and bust some doughnuts

  • nice, the good thing is u didnt red line like some idiots would>!

  • snow = amazing in rear wheel drive!

  • Nice, i gotta 2002 GT, Bone stock, they're funn!!!

  • haha, awesome. Now thats how you drive a stang in the snow.
