Actually it is the last 747- "400" that was ever made, The new plane you speak of is the 747-8f (freighter).

Look at the wing tips i dont think the 748 has them,they are more blended on the newer 748

It was fairly loud, but I thought the 777 was louder, The spool up of this one was cooler, tho.
