Star Trek - TNG "Tasha Yar"

I just started watching Star trek the next generation and by the gods, tasha Yar has to be one of the stupidest characters of the crew, EVERY sistuation they are put in she somehow inevitably makes it worse.

Though admittedly some of my favorite parts are when Picard Verbally owns her.

the whole tasha x data thing could have totally been explored more in later episodes. It would have been an interesting dynamic, with him being an android, it sucks SO hard that they killed her off

Are you serious?? Under the influence of that polywater virus-thingy, she probably would've attempted to seduce any adult male who had the misfortune to show up at her quarters. It was only their second mission together on the ship and she barely knew Data. Although they may have developed genuine feelings for one another later on, this was just plain wrong on so many levels and I don't mean Data being an android. It's obvious Noonien was a bit too influenced by 21st century Hollywood... grrr.
