I live in the US and I never get to see the bands I like, The great thing is however when bands like the charlatans do come its a small crowd and a more intimate show, not saying id pass up a chance to see them in Wembly or anything just saying its pretty cool to stand ten feet from tim burgess and company while they play-cheers

In Minnesota once it was so small that Tim was just hanging out between the bar and a door up the stairs before the show. I was star struck enough to not bother him.....great to see them in small venue but wembly would be great. The beginning of this Forever is different than the cd version, huh?

I suspect that nowhere near as many people own Us and Us Only as own Tellin' Stories. That's a shame because Us and Us Only is a great album from start to finish. It's an album that seems to be made by an brilliantly emotionally mature band with an intimate respect of both the best of the 1960s and the best of 1990s psychedelic indie rock. It never feels like a pastiche. Blur's song 'Tender' is similar to the style of this album but The Charlatans sustained it over an album- it's genius to me.
