  • I'm glad all the idiots still thinking he actually benched that much weight don't have the ability to read the top comment on the video explaining that he didn't... morons.

  • Well, Ive seen ''ONE'' guy in person bench 565 x 3 and his form wasnt anything like that with elbows out ect! Ive never seen and dont believe this guy has the build or ability period to bench 200 x 20 . Pretty kewl trick though!

  • the bar's bent before he even touches it

  • nope, i dont buy it

  • Juice

  • any amount of money saying those were only 25 pound weights

  • he may not be doing them correctly, but I'm sure anyone would like to see you guys posting yourselves doing it! good luck.

  • @DCJarden Wow. As you can see in the top comment, it weighs 105 lb. So I doubt much of us need luck to post a video like that.

  • i saw 23 failed attempts at 1 correct rep

  • i wonder how much each of those plates actually weigh?

  • those were the anti-gravity weights

  • He's not even doing them properly.

  • look at that wicked lightsaber!!

  • Must be those new Helium weights.

  • That's awesome. Did that my senior year in high school though. No Steroids either. Laying 500-600 pounds on your chest is not that hard especially when you have the weight under control. BTW, those sissy reps he was doing would not count in competition. Now do that again with full extension of the elbows and all the way back down with a 2 second stop at the chest and I'll be impressed. For the nay-sayers, you'll find that some of the strongest people are the smallest.

  • @MorningsideTV Yeah. All powerlifters are tiny.

  • Bullshit

  • damn he got the fuk off

  • them are 5lb plates at the arnold classic i go every year and i see it every time its just for fun

  • It's not fake, he's really benching. But those 45lb plates aren't 45lb plates. They each weigh 5lbs, and the bar is still 45lbs. 105lb total. This is a novelty event held every year at the Arnold Strongman Classic. It's just for fun to get your picture taken with what appears to be a lot of weight. If you search youtube, you'll also find a guy doing 745lb for 15 reps- same background. This year's Arnold is in less than two weeks, so I guess we'll all be seeing more vids of 585lb+ for high reps.

  • 0:37 the rod remains bent even on support

  • Those didnt look like full reps to me either but that's how alot of body builders lift like jay cutler and his chest is huge I'm gonna start lifting like that I'll let y'all know how it works out for me

  • 38 seconds later and im still waiting to see a full rep

  • dat dere suicide grip.

  • his arms are wayyy too small. he didnt bench 585. maybe.... 180 lol

  • It's 150lbs. They use foam plates at expos so you can trick your friends with pics of you lifting it.

  • I bench 350 and the bar bends much more than that! stupid!

  • Fake! I've seen guys at a few gyms bench 10 plates of 45lbs each + the Olympic Bar + 495lbs and the bar would bend/bow much, much more than this lift.. Probably was pushing 225lbs

  • Seriously.. how.. the.. fuck.. did I get here..!?

  • That sounded like 5.85 ounces hitting the racking.

  • The bar has a slight bend at 585lbs?

  • Fake

  • the bar is bending.

the people that say it's fake are just pissed.

  • you don't lift your head and talk to someone after doing 20 reps with 585 resting on your chest. partial reps or not its fake, period.

  • that is so fake. the weights are made of plastic!!!!!!!!!!

  • worst video on youtube

  • fake....plates are pobably made of plastic

  • fucking russians, die plz

  • No lock out of the arms= NO FUCKING GOOD !!!

  • there is no way in hell you can get a proper contraction only moving 3 in

  • all haters, do you even lift? that right there is reps... you don't have to go all way down, and you most certaintly don't have to go all the way up, unless you wanna snap aaall your shit up.

  • Uh, 4 inches of movement is not a rep. Call it whatever you want to, just don't call those reps.

  • WOW haters calm down... he just out did you.

  • Yea that weight is BEYOND FAKE 300lbs slams on the rack 10x harder than that rofl. DISLIKE

  • i like the part where the weights are fake

  • touch your chest...

  • as soon as i saw him pressing , i hit dislike

  • Not a single rep should be counted on this. No full extension.

  • how about locking it out jackass

  • your not even big enough to get that much up

  • You are such a joke! A disgrace to yourself trying to fool people with 585 bench press. I will cut off my dick if you can even manage ONE! What a waste of everybody's time! Good riddance to BAD Rubbish!

  • people who can bench 585 pounds....look like they can bench 585

  • thats like light ass 225

  • who on earth would call those real reps?

  • lol fake weight and half reps ur sooo strong

  • it's about 225.

  • u didnt grab the bar correctly. ur Wrist should be straight

  • a straight bar bends at 460 pounds

  • @briprime No....more like 300.

  • That dude just pressed 100lbs tops.

  • #1 LMFAO bro cant even count. #2 ps there dummy plates they weigh about 10 pounds each. watch his hands at 12 seconds. it "tosses" the weight off his hands. no one can do that lol what a tool.

  • its 540, plus he needs to hit his chest then go straight armed, and so forth.

  • @BradyBird38 add the weight of the bar.

  • @Gtslmfa0 i did

  • @BradyBird38 besides the face its fake. 6 plates = 585

  • thats 22

  • TOO THE CHEST!

  • 0:29 he lays 585 on his chest :D

  • @trueamerica911 LMAO I know dude XD

  • @trueamerica911 the human chest cavity can hold 800 pounds on thier chest before it collapses. there you just got ya ass schooled

  • That was all "no reps" and I find it hard to believe that was 585. Imma have to see this in person. When is your next showcase cause u guys can take this act on the road.

  • Nice job not even going all the way up. And no way that's 585.

  • He didnt touch hus chest or go all the way up gz fag

  • Those are partials guy. Great for busting through plateaus.

  • i went to this expo it was only 95lbs the weights are fake lol

  • That suicide grip is gonna kill him one day....

  • Hahahaha! First of all, it IS fake- anyone who doesn't realize that is just an idiot. But they spelled "maniac muscle" wrong at the top of the video. Too funny

  • Fake weights. The casual sound he had in his voice when he spoke says so.

  • Amazing bench press, only one problem. Hes not goin up all the way with the bar. in my book that doesn't count as 1.

  • not only doesnt the bar bend, but when u drop the bar back on the holds after lifting a serious amount of weight, the sound it makes is a lot louder than that little fart his fake weights made, stupid fag probably couldnt bench 50pounds.

  • It looks real, what gives it away is the bar doesn't bend at all. two plates a side bends the bar a bit. this would bend that thing huge,

  • Nice since its fake and someone believing its actually real...go out and find someone that does this for a living they aren't as small as this Guy is. Not even close

  • he's fucking scrawny indeed. lol. and plus no one does this shit in jeans.

  • to bad hes not going all the way down to his chest or all the way up so he got about a total of 0

  • If the bar doesn't touch the shirt, rep does not count (Rippetoe's Starting Strength 3rd edition)

So actually this guy did not do any reps whatsoever!

  • @HinduismIsHeretical If that's the form you want to use then go for it but me I listen to my body and on the rare occasion that I do bench press I never bring the bar down to touch my chest puts way too much strain on the shoulders and that's how people can mess up there rotator cuffs I bring the bar down till my elbows are level with my body hold then push up, but I have had more results buy only doing dumbbells I start with flys then do my press, but if that's the form you like then go for it

  • @Craig9081 You really need to read Starting Strength 3rd edition. The rotator cuff thing is caused by something else entirely.

  • @HinduismIsHeretical It depends on a persons flexibility, it is better to get slightly less reps then put excess strain on your tendons and joints and hurt yourself.

  • It’s not a man. It’s a machine. Terminator. Cyberdine Systems model 101.

Not a robot. Cyborg. Cybernetic organism. Part man, part machine. Underneath it’s a hyper alloy combat chassis. Microprocessor controlled, fully armored, very tough. But outside it’s living human tissue, flesh, skin, hair, blood. Grown for the cyborgs.

  • what about this video makes anyone think its fake? i can hear the metal clinging when he lowers the bar...and its not perfect form but 22 reps of 585! make it 12 with good form

  • @hardhits91 What's fake is the weight. That's not really 585. It's a fun thing to do at the Arnold Strongman Classic. They have that event there every year. The plates are still metal and look like 45lbs, but they're really 10lbs. It's just for fun. Nobody could do that weight for those reps, at least in the US. Also, not without even warming up.

  • @thedude2979 theres people in the US that could do it. You dont expect them to...

  • @seymor99 Ok, well no one's done it yet, and if they have, they're keeping it a very big secret for some reason

  • @thedude2979 your joking with me right now. Thats like saying there is no lesbian in Austrailia, or Britain, or Brazil. If there is, they're keeping it a secret.

  • @seymor99 I follow this stuff. It hasn't been recorded anywhere, and if there's no proof of it, it doesn't count. This is nothing like lesbians in other countries. What do you think, people do 585 23 times every day? That would be a world class record. Tiny Meeker benched 600 13 times- that's a record. Gene Rychlak benched 900 8 times- that's a record. Like I said, I follow this stuff. If someone benched 585 23 times, it would make huge headlines in the powerlifting world. Powerlifter or not.

  • @thedude2979 if you follow stuff like that all the time, you wouldn't just seclude the US. Thats cutting out over 360million people, and some of them do that.

  • @seymor99 That's why I said "no one in the US." The Arnold Classic is in the US. This bench press for reps is in the US. That was my point- no one in the US could do that. I don't have time to research everyone in the world. I work, I have a family, I train for competition, I research for my own training. Researching other lifters is a hobby of mine. However, I couldn't care less about lifters in other countries I will never visit. Why are you arguing just to argue?

  • @thedude2979 Yeah the way he rested it on his chest then commenced to just lift it right back up is really suspect. Plus you're right 585 is not something cats lift everyday...

  • @mookeychase0907 Yeah, but the point is people are taking this video seriously. This is a novelty event held every year at the Arnold Strongman Classic. I can't remember if those "45lb" plates are really 5 or 10lbs. People do lift that weight every day, but after like 30-45 mins of warming up to do 1 or 2 reps before going up. This year's Arnold is in like 2 weeks, so I guess we'll be seeing more videos of people in street clothes unracking "585" and doing it for high reps. Hahahaha!

  • @thedude2979 oh okay I see, well the title is misleading I figured these guys especially the spotter who has real skinny arms were just throwing almost 600 like it was nothing. I guess you're right we'll prob be seeing more cats in street clothes lifting 1000s of pounds hahaha. Peace my dude

  • @mookeychase0907 hahaha, yeah man, keep your eyes open for more humorous videos like this popping up in like a week and a half. Peace

  • In reality this guy couldnt do more than 185 pounds!

  • pussy..didnt go all the way down

  • @Pbrainers that's 585 lbs you cunts!

  • @Pbrainers or all the way up.

  • @Pbrainers or up lol

  • @Pbrainers Didnt even go all the way up?

  • @Pbrainers AND HE DIDN'T GO ALL THE WAY UP!!

  • 23 half reps with fake weight, congrats bro

  • @thegreasyspeedo heahehaheaheh word

  • @thegreasyspeedo you don't go till your arms are straight because you wanna keep your muscle tensed for the whole time?

  • wankers!!

  • wow, fake and his form sucks

  • Well Riku Kiri benched 200kg (445 pounds) 14 times, and he was a real beast. and this guy is not even close to be as big, so this is fake.

  • fake!!!!!! he would be bigger and the bar would be bending :)

  • MIGHT SOUND LIKE BULLSHIT BUT I SAW THIS SAMOAN DUDE AT MY GYM PUSHING 200KG ON A SHOULDER PRESS MACHINE.... COUPLE OF BODY BUILDERS WALKING ROUND PLUS THE WHOLE GYM JUST STOPPED AND WATCHED TILL HE FINISHED.. HE PUMPED 4 STES OF 10.....

  • lol

  • Wow dont even bring it all the way up , you cantt even fucking do it you toool,. use proper fucking form or go home and continue being a pussy who posts fake videos. Pussy

  • no fuckin way that was real

  • total bullshit.....those fake plates weigh about 7.5 lbs each they are not 45 pounds each.

  • what an idiot, the strongest guys in the world can only do 225 for 30 reps, which is insane, your an idiot if you think this guy is really doing 585, this idiot couldnt even unrack 585 let alone press it one time, he probably couldnt do 225 for ten reps, i hate loosers like this

  • @built04Cobra - Sorry mate, but I can hit 225 for almost 30 and I'm a far cry and a mile from top-tier benchers. But your point is valid; Scott Mendelson and Ryan Kenelly couldn't even bench 585 like this. Never mind the fact that the bar would look like a noodle at that speed and weight.

  • @built04Cobra Um bullshit i can do 225 for 30 reps and im not even pro i do it for fun, so ur retarded

  • @KORNETS6969 take a look at many of the top records buddy, pro's can do it maybe 40-45 times, theres no way in hell some youtuber like yourself can do it 30 times, post a vid if u can, i can bang out 17-19 on a good day, and i highly doubt u are in the shape that i am

  • Get your self into gym to understand that the weights are no way 585.... don't be so stupid to believe this guys.... youtube 500 deadlift to see how hard that is.

  • This guy's a MAJOR PUTZ, and check out all the MAJOR FOOLS watching him!!!

  • shit, if that is true weight, hell of a job bro!

  • I counted 2 reps. The douche didn't bring the bar all the way to his chest!

  • @JoMama123451234 true say

  • atleast go full range of motion

  • I believe this is at the Arnold Classic. They've always had stands like this there. But they use lighter plates. It's just for fun. I think they are around 10 pounds. And that would only be 165. Judging by that guys size, 23 reps is completely believable for that weight. Either way, its not 585 lol.

  • April Fool 2 U 2! Good one but those GENUINE bigfoot vids R even better!!!!

  • we manufactured a 6x4 20kg plates (4plates per side) for a company in Germany 3yr's ago, all in 1 alloy pieces total weight 10.3kgs around per side, to be fair these are'nt very well made as the one's that we produced/manufacture'd etched little under 1"deep seperating with 1mm gap between the supposed plate's giving an illusion of single plates, these here seem to have no seperation atall, we all know on here it's fake, for many obvious reason's, the lad's just messing bit of fun here.

  • There have been debates about going all the way down. it can damage your sternum. going about a inch away from your chest is just as fine or using dumbbells are even better

  • Hahaha there fake weights fools that probably like 190

  • not even going all the way down

  • he only did 22 reps this video is fake

  • 0:30 if you cant tell this is not 585 lbs by that point then you're not the sharpest tool in the shed.. Just sayin

  • I never seen hollowed out weights that stick together like they're welded together. OH WAIT, THEY"RE FAKE!!!!

  • LOL! They think this is real? Okay. You got me. Where's the hidden cameras? I'm being Punk'd aren't I?

  • fake

  • Erm everybody, this is meant to be a JOKE at a convention.

  • what a jackass

  • lmao, is this what he does to get women? Fake ass weight with no real resistance, struggling, etc. He would of bust his balls, wrists and elbows trying to lift that.

  • FAAAAAAKKKKE!!!! Those bars aren't even rated for close to that so it's ovbious from that right there.

  • isso e peso de plastico ¬¬

  • nobody can lift 585 plus if you want to make a fake video at least do a full rep

  • @thenewyorkjets991 what? Nobody can lift 585?

  • You expect people to fall for that !

  • Hell 2 the ducking no fake add light weight and the bar is sappost to bend

  • Not Full Reps.

  • @madheadmoose I hope you're being sarcastic. The weights are obviously fake !

seriously, the bar isn't even bending.

  • lmfao fake weights!

  • holding the bar wrong to start with,

  • if that was really over 500 lbs he wouldnt rest it on his chest that way.... and he wouldnt get be able to lft off..... and he never did a single rep anyways.

  • Comment removed

  • Is there actually a debate over this?!!! This guy couldn't take 585 off the rack! They are FAKE weights. Anyone who buys this knows NOTHING about lifting!!! Don't be so fuckin STUPID!!!

  • @chadley6916 OMG I SO FELL FOR THAY UNTILL I SAW YOUR COMMENT LOL HOW THE FUCK CAN WE TELL ?????? IM BUGGIN I FELL FOR THAT OMG DUDE SHIT

  • @chadley6916 thank you

  • @chadley6916 i dont know man, i know this looks retarded, BUT the bar does have alot of bend, not to mention this guys on roids..

  • @cb7pwn

    Sure thing, whatever you say!

  • @chadley6916 Only reason people help to get off the rack is to save energy for world record. its not like hes lifting a thousand pounds. bodybuilders and powerlifters look diffrent. And even if it was fack who gives a flying f

  • @vincbestia

I'm not debating if this lift is real! There is NO debate, the weights are FAKE, fuckin deal with it and move on...Do you really know NOTHING about lifting?

  • @chadley6916 That explains why the weights are clanking and the bars bending?

  • @MCKilllerrr

Wow...some people will believe anything I guess!!! It because of people like you that Vegas makes billions!!!

  • #1 douce in all of america...

  • @1233Nico apart from the over 200 million others we call "fuckin yanks"

  • @1233Nico #1 speller in all of america...
