Even though the first part of this editing is great, I think they sould ask fans to do hommage like that. Fans are the only one who could working on it during months for free. They'd want that everybody feels excited about their favorite director. Scoresese watching your montage at a ceremony is priceless !
this first song is so Armenian. its definitely an old Armenian type song... am i armenain :), to know this for a fact for sure because the instrument they are using in the first song/melody is called "doo-dook", and it's an Amrenian instrument which was introduced to others...armenian's invented that instrument
my mom actually thought she was armenian, but she was totally wrong.
its kinda weird putting a song like for someone who is Sicilian
What is the name of the music theme just before shutter Island previews begin, its a fantastic piano and I think electric guitar score that just touches a nerve... I wish they would have ended the montage there with that Dafoe close up... moved the interiors on my chest... good job by the editor to do that with no sotry on a simple montage... WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE MUSIC? AND FROM WHAT MOVIE? It starts at the 2:58 mark... thanks!
Shoonmaker wouldnt have put that together, its pretty horribly edited, you can tell the people at golden globes put it together, Schoonmaker would have made a better job.
LOL. You know... it is utter crap that more people are making tribute videos to Martin Scorsese and hardly ANYONE has made a James Cameron tribute video. There is 4 videos.
@LukeLovesRose Sorry, I just dropped my drink in my lap. Did you really just compare a real director, a TRUE artist like Scorsese to a shitty one like James Cameron who has written some of the most horrible scripts ever and directed some of the most commercial, overrated crap movies ever? Give me a break. Cameron isn't even in Scorsese's universe. See some real movies, man. And going before the 1980's is really okay. Trust me. :/
LOL. OMG! I thought the George Lucas and Spielberg fans were pathetic. lol. You honestly think that little of James Cameron?? A man who has produced two of the most successful films in history, back to back? Not even Spielberg pulled off such a feat. And, you really have no idea how many movies (and that's A LOT) I've seen and personally own. lol. I can easily say that Cameron is best, most artistic filmmaker alive today. You're just too blind or dumb to see it.
I have a montage (Scorsese) on my profile. It's going for something different, but it's hard not to feel talentless in the montage arena after seeing this. Whoever put this together is incredibly talented.
I loved this on the golden globes but i noteced they left a few of his titles out which were "Who's that knocking at my door?" (1968), "Boxcar Bertha" (1972), "New Yok New York" (1977), "No direction home bob dylan" (2005). I wonder why that is? maby their is a reasonable explanation for it.
TheBrando382, well, thank you for sharing. But, I highly disagree.
Despite what people may think of the finished product, I think there's more art in every Cameron shot than most movies made today.

@LukeLovesRose Cameron is a Micheal Bay. Makes horrible movies but tops the box office. that's the only thing good about him.
