God I miss nowcasting for Doug! I haven't seen him in about 2 years but I miss chasing with him. I couldn't tell you how many tubes I've bagged thanks to him and how many times I've got him in the right place at the right time haha He's such a great guy and he surely knows his stuff!! If you see Doug or Steve, tell them Travis said hey. They'll know what you mean!

wow i was in grady spotting when the tornado formed i thought it was just windy when i decided to leave and when i got home the weather service was saying a tornado just formed near grady moving north. i wish i had access to doppler radar imagery at that time i could ve warned them earlier

I want to thank you for posting this. I live in Lone Grove. This f-4 missed my house by maybe 2 blocks. I didn't get to hear any live reports on tv or scanner because I had already unplugged my tv and computer and everything (because there was wicked lightning) before the tornado got to Lone Grove. Thanks again.

The tornado went right through my property. Inahaled the neighbors roof and cut a wide path through my land. Bore northeast over Newport, then up to Hwy 70 and Meridian. We had a 30 minute warning and trackers were giving emergency radio constant updates on location. My prayers are with those affected.

Yep we are all fine. Dougs vehicle has quite a bit of damage, however not near as much as the car that hit us. It was totaled. After this I will definitely start wearing a seat belt, would of saved me from being slammed around!

yep, NWS confirms EF4, 165 mph winds.. half mile wide path.

Even weirder: the same system produced damaginf winds where I live ans is currently dropping snow on us.

My condolences to those families that lost loved ones in east Lone Grove. We get some tornados here in Indiana too. And I've learned to take Tornado warnings very seriously and so I'm prepared now.

Wow.. Glad you and your family is ok.. We are going to be seeing this system tonight where I am.. IM kinda a little nervous. But its a welcoming change from snow. THat in part due to I am origionally from the lighting capitol of the world so therefore i love thunderstorms. Just not the tornado part so much. Eh as long as it isnt harming people, they are pretty. But I've been thru them, so its kinda shaky to just go thru the whole ordeal.Stay safe! Prayers are with the victims.

i'm in Ardmore, OK.. but yeah, my daughter's mom live out there in Lone Grove, and also her aunt, my X's sister.. they all took shelter in my X's Tornado shelter. but yeah.. it's all blocked off locked down.. my daughter can't get home yet.. but her house is ok.

so far i think there's been 3 deaths reported, sadly.. 1 confirmed, 2 from A.P.

anyway, that's my X's sister Dawn in the video/audio, that first spots the tornado.. she is riding with Doug Drace...

as for the severe wx, i was talking to a family member recently, and told them we are long over due for something like this. i mean the longer you go, the chances increase. the last one was like 94 or 95, that hit the Michelin plant ya know.

It hit healdton, It actually sucked the breath out of me && my grandma (a retired nurse) had to give me CPR.
