@jimmychuang Because the movie's second unit was running behind schedule, they decided to make dummy cartridges (cartridges that outwardly appear to be functional but contain no propellant or primers) from real cartridges by pulling out the bullets, dumping out the propellant and reinserting the bullets. This malfunction went unnoticed by the crew, and the same gun was later reloaded with blank cartridges and used in the scene in which Lee was shot.

@PamelaThriller the gun was real the bullets where fake at some point one of the crew members tryed to fire a real bullet with the gun and the bullet got stuck in the gun when it came time to use the gun with the primer dummy round the bullet came unstuck and struck brandon in the abdomum lodging it in his spine he under went a 6 hour surgery where he died the movie is amazing

I cannot believe how handsome, and the personality that shines through, to be that witty, and talented he had it all, why did this have to happen? Why wasn't the prop gun checked I don't understand this, none of it makes any sense. Who picks up a gun that has not been checked? Everyone of those producers and actors will get their Karma, I don't know how they sleep at night, my heart is so torn up, but thanks for posting saved to faves this is wonderful to see.
