  • think thats bad, im paying 1.92AUD per liter

  • In the Mideast US (Washington DC) we have been hovering around $2.50/ gallon. We peaked at just under $5 / gallon when crude was at $147. Have a happy New Year.

  • Right now 6/08/09 in the uk its £1.03 a litr, you have very cheap petrol in my opinion just dont come to the uk or you'll be like :|:|:@

    j

  • thats very cheap thats about £0.50 and its around £0.99 here so around $2ASD/ litre

  • its been like 99c for 5 weeks now...

but that duzzent help me, every car io ever driven is diesel, but the other night i found out diesle cars on average use less fuel then petrol, so wile im payin 40c more a liter im actauly saving $20 or so a year...

  • As a Yank, I don't pay a draconian "petrol tax" or Value Added Tax on petrol that rises annually because the uk government links it to inflation. ENJOY! I understand your petrol tax will increase by 2 pence in October. Double-enjoy!

  • seriusly guys ... i think the goverments of the E.U. have agreed with each other to impose this unthinkable fuel duty tax which is 70% !!!!!! of the price of fuel in the UK .. and it varies throughout the E.U. They try to fool as for their pure robery (which is actualy hearting the economy continiusly! espesialy now that the petrolium crude price is so high!!...) by pretending that they are doing this in order to "save the earth" by taxing fuel so as to cut CO2 emissions..

  • Wish it was back to $1.19 now!

    UK £1.20+ Petrol boo

  • Today (24th May 2008)in NW UK - Petrol/Gas £1.20 per litre which is £5.35/UK Gallon (1UK Gal = 4.545 Litres). Diesel is £1.30 per Litre = £5.79 UK Gal. My friend in Wales (UK) is paying Diesel at £1.39/Litre = £6.32 UK Gal. Last September I was in Boston USA and Gas/Petrol worked out at £0.33p per litre!!!!!!

  • its now £99 to full my car to the top, 75L @132.9p/l diesel

  • £1.12.9 a Litre Last time I looked here in col chester... that's like $2.32308047 Australian, or UK £4.2737299 = $8.44873664 U.S. dollars (Per American gallon) England is messed up for petrol prices!

  • £1.20 a litre in scotland right now

you guys are geting off lightly no joke

    2.36076 in us dollars

  • In scotland I regularly pay £1.12 a litre I dont know how much that is in Aus Currency but this time last year I was paying just £0.85 this shows how it's risen rapidlyQ

  • that's like $4 australian

    count yourself lucky.

  • By the way I am not from Venezuela, I am an American living in Spain 1,09 €/ liter outside of Madrid for the least expensive 95 grade. I have to say it is embarrasing as an American to hear my countryman cry over there prices of fuel, and then they get into some big V8 petrol fueled 4x4. That is like someone complaining about their electric bill but leave the air condition at 17 degrees C, use 100W lamps, leave every light on in the home. Well conserve energy please.

  • tzrmike, Jesus do you drive a Range Rover or a Land Cruiser? It sounds like your fuel tank has 70 L. Venezuela even pays cheaper than Saudi Arabia. No joke it is about 0,05 €/L.

  • its a good thing that you europeans pay more for petrol. at least the revenue collected in taxes is been spent on effecient and reliable public transportation systems. we australians are totally reliant on private vehicle use because our government fails to fund the kinds of services available in your countries.

  • HA HAA we pay 1.19 GBP which is about $2 in the US. Our government suck. They theive and bleed dry the honest hard working people because the idiots let them. That is why we are moving to Spain. Bye bye blighty, would the last Englishperson be so kind as to turn off the lights as they leave, thankyou.

  • fucking livid! by baby runs RON98, last time i filled up, $1.58/L!!!!!! sons of heartless goats!

  • Gas prices are $3.00 US a gallon or A$3.50 a gallon or A$0.924 a litre. My Car gets 26 MPG or 9L/100 km. But we have to drive about 35 miles one way to work that is 58km

the cost just drive to work is $40US a week or $A 47. So i does not cost a much in the us than it does in Australia but it still hit me hard

  • how much? £1.08 in places, 1.08 GBP = 2.21193 USD

    whos being screwed?

  • the u.s.a and u.k should have the cheapest petrol and diesel but we dont, we get taxed more than what its really worth..

  • It cost AU 0.20$ per Liter in Saudi Arabia...

Thanks god, we are paying nothing

  • damn you! so thats why you can put those big turbos in your landcruisers :o

  • i pay 99.9p a litre in norfolk and it costs me £70 to fill up my car from empty.

you have fuel really cheep love.

  • 1.30 CAN$ quebec, canada

  • 1.10, but it get's upto 1.30 sometimes

  • here in Chile it costs almost $700 ($1.50 us dol)x Lt

  • Speaking of petrol/gasoline..

In my country petrol costs anywhere from $1.50P.L. to $1.80P.L. most places. My car has doubled in price to fill

  • 95 octane´s around 1,4 euros / litre here in Finland. That is ~5,3 euros or 7,1 USD / gallon.. And yet it is not a problem unless you´re driving some high consumption american muscle shit.

  • booo fucking who i was just in florida it wa $3 per gallon you poor pepole i come from scotland its 99.9 pence per litre here whcih for yous would be nearly 2 dollars per litre so quit complaing about your price

  • right now in the U.S. it's 3.17 for a gallon.... Paying 80 ****ing dollars to fill up!

  • Thats cheap!! Try filling up in the UK. In Cardiff, South Wales I'm paying 99.9 Pence a Litre! Thats $2.30AUD!!

  • are you serious? im very sure in britain petrol is much much higher than that. i live in australia, too, but my relitives over there say its much worse. i suppose it may not be much of a drama there as it is a smaller place and australia is huge... i still believe, though, it isnt that bad here.

when you think about it petrol is a bargain now compared to what it will become. stock up!

  • in Hungary, we can purchase a litre unleaded for approx. 290HUF =approx. 1.47$US... this is ridiculous, doesn't it?:P:D:S:S:S:S:S:S:S:S

  • Thats like 50p a litre. Wow I'm paying 99.9. You guys down under don't know what its like :D Nice glasses

  • Hehe, girls don't fart... There is a whole bunch of scientists and they're collecting evidences of the opposite. I hope the truth about it will be revealed one day! :)

  • yo lady, sometimes the price in the US is like $2.00/L, u got it off easy girl lol

  • Here in Denver, Colorado (Middle of the US) I just paid $101 USD to fill my tank.

I've got a truck and only get 25 miles to the gallon (I think that works out to about 10 kilometres per litre).

It was $3.37 USD per gallon so I guess that means fuel is cheaper here in the States, eh?

  • Yesterday (April 28 2007) in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada at one feul station it was $1.06 per litre. It has been that high for about 3 months now, maybe longer :-(

  • That was cute!Never seen you before.

We pay just under $3US dollars per gallon and that is cheap right now. At one time it cost me $75 to fill up my car, so I did, then just went home.LOL

  • over here it's $4.98 gallon : northearstern pennsylvania .usa

  • Compared with Germany your petrol prices are a bargain ...

    Super 95 octane (I think it is Premium there), I have paid at a fuel station at the freeway during the holidays 1.41 EUR/l (2.32 AUD/l) and at the weekend I paid 1.33 EUR/l (2.19 AUD/l) - 1 EUR = 1.36 USD

  • the prices are low here in Saudi, we're paying 0.6 SAR for a liter..

    if 1 US $ = 3.75 SAR, then we're paying at about 0.16 $ a liter..

as for gallons, you do the math, i suck at numbers..

  • For us, .91/L aus.

    thats like... .86/L Canadian.

because i'm cool and from alberta...the land of oil.

and i do mean that, ha. we have SOOOOO much of it. :)

  • Wow, you look so much like a past girlfriend -- except you are cuter. Anyway, I'm in North-Central British Columbia (Canada), and currently it is priced at $1.09/L. Now, I believe that the CDN dollar is a bit stronger than the Au. dollar, so I'd guess we're on-par. Either way, it's a piss-off. And what do I drive?: A full size Ford truck with a V-8.

  • Update: Now we're $1.14/L. Yeah....not happy.

  • yo in england its like £1 /L thats like $2 !

  • Update (May 14).....we did go up to $1.18/L about a week ago, and now we're $1.25/L (North-Central British Columbia, Canada).

Hey Steph: have your prices changed lately?

    Travis

  • May 22nd......1.28/L now !!!

  • april 19th fort worth ,texas average gas price $2.90 a gallon, pice for diesle(the only REAL fuel)is $2.95

  • Todays UK average is £0.93/L for standard Unleaded. AU$1.19/L = £0.49/L. You're not being ripped off as much as us in the UK.

  • cool i luv ur accent!! gas here is... well, unleaded is like, 2.46, :(!!

  • Nice. $3.39USD/Gallon!! Apr 17th, 2007, Seattle, WA.

Are you really this cute(not the looks), or just pretending?(wannabe)

  • 1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litre

    1 litre = 0.264172051 US gallon

    $1US = $1.1998 AU

    $1AU = $0.8335 US

    so ... $1.19 AU / litre = $3.75 US / gal

By the comments you have received it looks like the average US person pays under $3 US/ gallon so we are paying way more.

  • I like to believe we're getting more ripped off so I can whinge about it. :P Yeah it's probably the zoo you're thinking of too.

  • Firstly, if you live near a particular zoo in Australia then I live only 65km south of you. Anyway, I use diesel fuel and I always feel ripped off because it is cheaper to make due to being less refined then unleaded yet it costs about 2c/l more. My 4WD tanks hold 180 litres so even at $1.19/l I need a bank loan to fill my car at $214. Even though the engine has a large capacity 6.5 litres it is fairly economical for its size and weight so I can usually drive about 1400km between fills.

  • pink's my fav color....96c/au/l...let's see...is it 2 liters to a gallon/us...if so...well, anyway it's $2.72/us/gal here in tx...i spend nearly $40/us for 13gal...the world needs ethonol...and opec needs to shove crude up thier...

  • WOO another pink fan... pinkies unite!! :) haha I agree with that!

  • update: paid $2.83us/gallon today, 4-14-07

  • That was briliant. I love the "and I was like" re-enactment. Your watch is wicked - big fan of all things pink myself.

  • WOOO lurrrrve the pink. I'd paint my room pink if I could but I think my boyfriend would have something to say about it lol

  • You guys have it good in Australia - in NZ I just filled up my car for $80 NZ three days ago at 1.56 per litre! Ouch! Hence I'm currently converting a car to run on electricity (if you're bored you can check out my videos for the details).

  • HEY!!! WE LIVE NEAR EACH OTHER!!! :D haha I'm a loser. That's pretty crazy is that the average in NZ at the moment?

  • Meh, over here in Germany you pay about 2,24 AUD (1,38 €) for a litre... so be happy over there ;)

  • deeear lordy. You poor germanites! That's crazy prices. I think I would have to resort to buying some kind of scootery device to get around on with those prices....

  • I pay approximately $25 US for a 10 gallon tank. ($2.50 US average per gallon)

So My 10 gallon tank is equal to 37.854118 liters and at $0.96 it would be $36.34 US at your petrol station

  • so = soorrrrrr

    OMFG LAWL

i love cock in my ass

  • Its very expensive where I live, I live in a small town in New York City USA and to fill up a regular sized car about 50 bucks, its $2.99 USD a gallon, now I suck at system on gallons and liters but im still venting lol

  • whoa 50 bucks US is crazy talk. CRAZY.

  • In Poland 2,11 USD/Liter. So your petrol is VERY cheap.

  • haha yeah I suppose so in comparison

  • I come all the way from Malta, and we pay 42 cents per litre for unleaded petrol (thats in Maltese currency). This works out at something like 1.62AUD, so you don't have it all THAT bad! (And we have one of the lowest prices for petrol in Europe... can you imagine?!)

  • I'm seeing a pattern here that Australia actually has very good fuel prices in comparison to... well... pretty much everywhere in the world haha

  • $1.03/liter for 87 octane in Atlantic Canada

  • *shakes head* for shaaame petrol companies

  • Convertted that works out to about $1.15 in Australia

  • You bear a remarkable resemblance to someone I know. Spooky.

  • really... well we both live in Australia so IT COULD BE ME.

very low possibility but you never know. Australia being such a tiny place and all. :P

  • Psssst, Blunty loves in Tasmania.

  • Yep, thats why I refuse to buy a car.

  • sorry that should be "isn't"

  • OMGYOUSUCK. ;)

  • Petrol here is 92.9p per litre.

At current rate of conversions, that makes it $2.26 ASD

So there's quite a big difference there, yes?

Count yourself lucky that your government is so obsessed with forcing up taxes on petrol and cigarettes.

  • whaaaaaaaat are you serious? I would REFUSE to drive if it was that expensive. Ok not refuse... but I would definetly be huffy about it for a while... :P

  • yeah, same here.

It almost went up to nearly £1 at one time.

  • $2.37 today when I went to fill up today in Virginia.

But it's 10% ethanol here as well.

Looks like the prices here are a lot better than some others, though, so I can't complain.

Although this summer it went down to $1.89/gallon! I couldn't believe it.

  • San Francisco avg. price is currently $3.20 gallon.

But hey by paying more for gas it discourages people from driving so much or driving big ass cars with V8 engines thus creating less pollution and saving those furry little critters you love so much.

  • this is extremely true. San Francisco is that place that has lots of hills right? Like out of Mrs Doubtfire?? :) Maybe it's so high because you need lots of petrol to get up and down the hills.

    omgisuck.

  • S.F. is a pretty high income area. The price is based on what the market will pay plus in California we have a special formulation for gas that no one else uses so the refineries have a captive market that can't buy the most common type of gas. Our legislators are not too smart eh.

  • Ugh. don't worry - if you had a good look at who's making decisions in Australia you'd feel sorry for us too. ;)

  • Funny, I think of Mrs Doubtfire too when someone says San Francisco. :)

  • $2.84/gallon in very northern New York state

  • Ah wow, you get comments from that Baz0Man guy? He's my hero. You're one lucky lady to be talking to him!

  • meh, he's okay. I heard he smells like cheese.

    O_o just joshin

  • Oooooh EM GEEEEEEEEEE!!!

    That's it. You're in trouble now :P

  • Come on, I can take ya *raises fists* :P

  • $2.55, and that's part ethanol.

  • shit hey. Time to get on your bike and ride it sounds like haha

  • well, thats better than in NSW country, yesterday, i filled up my car, it was 35, but i dont let it go past half full, but the price of fuel was 125 a liter. im gonna save up to convert my car to gas one day in the far far future

  • mmm I remember when NSW and victoria had ridiculous prices last year. I think we've got an 8 cent government levy on our petrol in QLD. Good 'ol Peter Beattie. :)

  • its up to $3.05 per gallon!!

  • *bangs head on keyboard*. WHY PETROL GOD? WHYYYYYYY

  • 98.9 cents CDN/litre...Hilarious reaction...been there, done that. Cheers!

  • I think your dollar is ALMOST the same as ours. That works out to about $1.06 australian. WTF why are we paying so much haha

  • 2.41 a gallon USD here

wich theres about 4.5 liters in a gallon...ish roughly anyways.. so you guys are paying a shit load more for your fuel than we are.. but your jobs also pay much better than ours do lol.. US economy blows butt

  • yeah we don't need to tip anyone over here. Unless we really want to. It's great! :P

  • lol lucky waitresses then

i used to be a waitress and i got shitty tips, people just dont like me when im serving food, mainly because im miserable while doing it, everyone else i worked with got like 80 dollars a night in tips.. ooh yea i forgot the part where i was only making 2.13 an hour.... so yeaaaaaaaaa... i cant wait to move to australia...

  • holeyyy moley.... $2.13??? What's the point in working??? I think for an adult in Australia the lowest legal working price for a waitress is around $15 per hour (australian dollars). I could be wrong though.

  • yea it was miserable.. then you had to claim your tips every night so they could take taxes out of your checks so my checks were 50 dollars at the most... it was miserable and people wonder why i REFUSE to go back to that lame ass field of work.. ooh jeeeee i wonder.... lol

  • I live in Oregon in the USA and it is about 3.00 a gallon here.

  • I really should have worked out how much it is a gallon here hey. Damn conversions.

  • It's about $2.50 (american) a gallon (3.7854118 liters). So by my math we're paying $0.52 USD per liter at the pump. Which by American standards is pretty high. Then again the US military has been providing security for the world's oil tankers since the 70's. So our tax dollars are paying for our gas too.

I'll get off my soap box now.

(I need to ease off the coffee in the morning...)

  • whoaaaaaaa if I just calculated that right, that means you're paying AU$0.64 per litre at the pumps. Is that right?? OMG IM MOVING TO AMERICA. :)

  • Sadly the price of gas will go up from now on every year. It might drop for winter prices but it will be a higher average winter price than the year before, and the summer prices will be higher each year as well.

In the Seattle area it looks like $ 2.80 per gallon.... not sure about the conversions with Au and Liters haha.... DAMN US on its own werid system.... why didn't we pick up the metric system like everyone else!!!!

  • Dammit I forgot US uses per gallon. LAME. :P Oh well. Hopefully through evolutionary processes we will develop wings and won't need cars. ;)

  • How many times have I told you to start using that pogo stick! Damn girl, you're gonna have to listen to me sooner or later.

  • *hangs head in shame*... sorry Baz. HATER. :P

  • too much.... glad i don't drive...but then again public transport is horrible too!

  • ugh don't even get me started on public transport. When it's running on time it's okay... :P
