i suppose the internet settings on your wii must be already on, and it automatically connects online, but to play online, you have to go to quickplay and choose some online option (im not sure about this because i've never played it in a long time...

The rockband drums have been supported by all GH games from World tour up =P There's just no velocity sensitive notes because the rockband drums arent designed for that

its been supported from world tour up ONLY FOR THE XBOX, PS3 AND PS2. ITS ONLY SUPPORTED FOR THE WII FROM GH5 AND UP (excluding van halen)

I have rb stuff for this game on wii

it all works exept it doesnt work in freestyle mode

only downside i can think of exept well you know fast sturmming on the rock band guitar, it drops a few notes

i just got this to work, but i can't get the game to work with my rb instruments...i installed all the hermes cios needed and used cfg usb loader but it still won't work...anyone got rb instruments working here??

the online friend play just doesn't work in this game. you can't join a friend's game. this has happened to a lot of people i've added on this game

the fret boards are fuzzy cause of the resolution the pictures were taking at they aren't fuzzy they are very smooth

it should...in fact, all rb instruments will work, but i think u have to install all the proper ios's

yeah, this has amazing scores for wii, the only thing that i'm iffy about is the graphics, i haven't seen any videos for the wii, just screenshots, but i'll definitely pick it up asap :D

actually, there ARE videos that were up since aug 29 bcoz it was on torrent sites... search for 'guitar hero 5 wii' and filter the results to 'sort by newest'...u will be able to see some vids...i dun know if i will be uploading some vids though...

Yeah, but I like the Wii notes, because they look like GH3 notes. And on IGN, :

GH5 for PS3 - 8.9

GH5 for 360 - 8.9

GH5 for Wii - 9.3

GH5 for PS2 - (has not been reviewed yet.)

i think the ps2 version sucks badly...it actually has a rock meter, and u need to wait for it to load for party play, there isnt jump in-jump out gameplay, no dlc, and much, much more bad things...

i think GH:VH will run on the GH5 engine. In an interview with some guy from neversoft, he said that any game after GH5 will run on the same engine, but i'm still not sure

you could be right, but in a video by Guitar hero phenom, he tries out GH van halen at some gaming convention and it was around the time Guitar Hero Metallica came out. the rock meter too looked like the one in metallica. but then they were saying something about lagging so it could be the beta version...

The wii is also getting previously featured tracks from cds (GH:WT, GH:SH) where you can upload the songs to your sd card. damn nintendo, im ganna need an 8gig flash card now those bastards...

yeah, but u need to pay...hopefully some guy (like oneup) will be able to hack dlc for again for gh5...really hoping he will bcoz they are great songs and it will work with my rb drums...:D

this is towards your video at all but it just looks like any other guitar hero to me but just with different songs. and as everybody knows theres setlists that we all hate and at the end are all the good songs. its how every guitar hero has been so far

GREAT VIDEO! also, jon, i read recently on an article that a feature for the wii is that you will be able to play with your miis just like the avatars on xbox360.

P.S.: Actually there are rockmeters for each instrument, just look on the right side of the fretboard.

oh right, there are rock meters...and i think the feature for the wiis to play as your mii is only available in mii freestyle...not sure about that though, and i just realized that guitar hero van halen is based on the same engine in metallica...which probably means no support for rock band instruments.... :'(
