  • Strange how they never used this type of situation for a plot device, like some kind of murder mystery episode or something

  • @VideoSmarts1 Cause Transporter failers are freak accidents that are rare.

  • Geordi: Reg, teletransportation IS the safest way to travel.

  • What's the "Rand" business? He should've called her Janice...for old times' sake.

  • it could be worse, they could have arrived with their heads on backwards :3

  • I had nightmares from this one scene for weeks after I saw ST:TMP in 1979. How this scene alone didn't result in a PG rating for the movie I'll never understand.

  • At the end I was waiting for her to say, "Damn right it wasn't my fault...you pushed me away from the controls you overbearing limelight hog"

  • bet they wore red

  • Transporter travel insurance....don't leave home without it!

  • According to the original treatment of the script, the woman who dies in the transporter was Kirk's lover... Which is why Kirk is so disturbed by it. The early parts of the film on the Enterprise after I learnt that made a lot more sense.

  • @Atlantis8100 I didn't know those people at all, and I'm totally disturbed.

  • Horrible, tragic. (closes my eyes at the screams) Sweet Jesus!

  • What they need to do is have the same engineers who designed the atrificial gravity system for their ships, design EVERYTHING. I mean no matter what, the ships gravity system never fails. Heck the ship can be nearly destroyed and abandoned for 50 years, guess what still works? The gravity system.

  • Those screams... Horrific.
