maybe the track is too tight for the long legs of the GT?? it seems the GT does it's best work on it's home ground; Bathurst.. Give it a track like this and it doesn't rev freely as it is always having to slow for corners(??). Long straights and it revs freely and reaches potential... depends on gearing, etc.

@OlBlueshound by memory i thing it made its peak hp at 8200, so clearly not over reving it. and feathering the throttle is the best way to get the car to accelerate out of the turns, its not a hyundia mate, you cant just snap the throttle open unless u wanna be facing the opposite direction.

@silviarse 8200 is huge revs for that size motor in that class car. Would surprise me if 8200 was max torque though?, but I accept you "could" know as I didn't build that motor as you said. But I can hear the exhaust and induction and it is not (to me) being driven optimally? Yes I know about 'feathering the throttle" I own cars that requires careful thought when feeding on the power too. As for hitting the Monaro, was a pity, as bent cars never go back to good as new, I know through the trade
