Believing the Dogon came from the Nile valley doesn't automaticlly mean they came from ancient Egypt and are Egyptian descendants themselves. The Nile river goes through several east African countries besides Egypt that the Dogon could have come from. There are several oral traditions dealing with Dogon origins besides them coming from the east such as them originating in the Niger river area etc.

The linguistic connection is relevant. If the Dogon came from Egypt during ancient times they would still have held on to the Egyptian language and hieroglyphic writing especially being a fairly isolated people. They would likely still be using hieroglyphics to record their origins and history but they don't.

U are right. I recall they did dna on the people in lebonon that live around the same time span of hannibal. About 3 century B.C, they did this testing and they show it on PBS.
