this is the fist song i heard them do. LIVE @ a Celtic festival in Brimfield, Massachusetts. A fan ever since !!!!! I feel their version is even better than the original. No offense to The Church. It was the Brimfield Highland Games, a long time ago.
I grew up listening to this band...so great!! Brings back memories of the most unexpected things :] love his voice and the tone of the song.GO KIRK! 8DD
Saw them play in St Pete Fla in some small Irish pub when we were over visiting my folks in Jax and again when they came over to the Edinburgh Festival. My cousin was going out with their engineer/sound guy (Sean I think his name was) so we got to meet them and shit. Still got Big Dog somewhere and a t-shirt.
I saw them Just tonight!!! At my friends wedding on CLearwater Beach. He was the owner of that pub here in St. Pete. He has kept in touch with them all these years.
They were FABULOUS! The violin player was incredible!
I remember seeing these guys, multiple times, play at the Kentucky Highland Scottish Festival, at General Butler state park, back in the 90's, was a real fun time to have them playing in the background while we were compeating in the scottish heavy games....crappy weather, but great music
This recording is off of Road Kill Live...Vol 1. 1998. In my opinion....this is THE best recording of this song that I have ever heard !!! ... and I have heard quite a few recordings.
This is just sick good

@dcpianobeast The song is 'Pound a Week Rise,' a protest song 7N did a cover of on their album Old Ground

@keldodk I love this song. I'm sure way more than 7013 other people do too. If it would play straight thru without glitching every 2 seconds. FYI
