  • I suppose he assumed he would be long dead before this applied to him. Oh well...

  • who sings for whom the bell tolls?

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this song lol, aww, good times

  • Suggs back up singer!..........Morrissey is king!

  • Take your own advice!

Hey Morrissey, kiss my big, hairy butt!!!

  • @pandaeyes42 fuck you

  • i just watched this again. wow. what a horrible vocalist.

i'm not sure if this guy is as REALLY into himself as much as he should be...

    complete tosser.

  • @whoopgnash go listen to your rap crap you bitch

  • narco fag...

  • Ahaha!! This song is remarkable! I can't believe I'd never heard it before! Thank you so much! (:

  • Jelly finds this song adorable x3 <3

  • I love this. Those were the days when Morrissey took chances, rather than just making the safe, plodding predictability that pads a lot of his later solo albums.

  • PUTRID!!!!!

    Completely awful....

    Is this guy serious????

  • @whoopgnash You probably need a brain to appreciate it, have you tried Ebay?

  • Painfully ironic now... But at least he has had the decency (or maybe sense?) to disown it..

  • this is the worst song he ever recorded jesus I blame andy rouke

  • @henryhaven the stuff that he recorded for "You Are The Quarry" and most of "Ringleader Of The Tormentors" is infintely more forgettable than this.

  • @fatpizzaman u r just wrong You are the quarry was gr8 and even mozzer agrees this song is shameful and dire.... what is a pity is the endless tired old Best ofs with nothing much interesting even pic of him in a bath is a bit Carry on Mozzer

  • @henryhaven Scandanavia is pretty damn awesome but its not released yet which is a damn shame because it is a brilliant song.

I think it's important to remember that this song is kinda funny and less serious...maybe not quite as good as frankly mr shankly but it's enjoyable =).

Also ringleaders despite the rehashed stuff is my favourite release of his due to the quallity of the recordings.

  • now he's 50...

    please moz...quit...!

  • @godisbad2008 for saying that, you're an idiot. please Morrissey... never ever quit... ever.

  • Morrissey says this song makes him 'shudder' and thinks it's 'Pathetic' - Hindsight is a great thing.

  • @Daigear

I read that the other day on the True to You website, then immediately youtube'd it. I guess the accordion keyboard thing probably seals the deal. But hey, still a good song.

  • does age really have meaning over lirics?

  • yes not heard this one yet, score!!

  • Love the pic at 1:22 - always have. It's perhaps the most ambitious his hair has ever been, curving back on to itself as it does. One could literally surf it. I've never believed this was self reflective; "with your mascara and your fender guitar" - clearly someone else. Stones make sense... But there's no way he wrote this without realizing he was simultaneously incriminating himself. Any performer would....

GREAT song - one of his best, imho...

  • wasnt this song co-written with Andy Rouke?

  • Isn't it pretty obvious that this song is purely ironic? "Oh, get off the stage / Because I've given you enough of my time / And the money that wasn't even mine." Or maybe I just don't know. Who said it's about Rolling Stones?

  • It was written about Mick Jagger fact fans!

  • @ScallywagsTV it was written about robert smith actually.... u fucktard

  • @dunlaoghaire robert smith is the same age as morrissey shithead, it's about the rolling stones, read Mozipedia

  • one of life's great lessons, dont piss on your shoes. still a funny tune tho viva moz

  • Although I would say Morrissey has continued with great dignity unlike other performers who often appear as 'muton dressed as lamb'. Morrissey has stayed true to himself hence why he still performs

  • irony was never lost

  • @shropshirelass66

Much as I hate to admit it...quite prophetic indeed! Mozzer, for those of us who still love you Please Get Off the Stage!!!
