Lol, deadlifts aren't just a "lower-back snap" lift. You guys can't feel them because you don't do them. Deadlifts work your core, your traps, your forearms, your glutes, and your hammies. Deadlifts aren't overrated. They may carry more of a risk if you do them with bad form, but they build a lot of muscle. An overrated exercise is lateral raises. Those shits are pointless ! Front raises are useless too. You can hit the front delts with bench press, military press, or seated shoulder press.

I kind of like chest flies. I usually do them after my chest workout and ill use 25 lb dumbbells. For me it helps sculpt my chest specifically the middle of my chest. At the very least it feels good when you bring the weight uo and really concentrate in squeezing your chest muscles as of u were flexing. Just my opinion

I don't think they can judge the leg extensions because they are doing the exercise a lot (only). They need variation on their leg workout, that's why their legs got smaller, I understand though why they did the extensions while they had back issues. But the exercise wasn't the problem, it was their leg training... They would keep more mass if they just stopped with the leg-training for a few months than keep on workig out with only one exercise.

Deadlift and squats is a great exercise for putting on mass and strength all over as long as you spend some time learning the moves before going heavy. If you don't put in an effort to learn those moves b4 going heavy you gonna snap some shit up !!!!

Leg extensions absolutely wrecked my ankles. After a few days I was walking to work and the pain in my ankles absolutely killed me. Never did them again, and if you do, make sure that you protect your ankles with padding or something. The pain I felt was overwhelming....

Everything else I agree on. I never do backsnaps anymore. And I am also very careful with dips. Though i love doing them. I try to keep constant tension and if I feel the LEAST tension in my shoulders i go easier.
Deadlifts are crucial. Look at Arnold's chest, his was built off of flys. If you are doing your deadlifts correct, it works hamstrings, quads, spinal erectors, forearms, traps, and rhomboids.
It sucks because my weightlifting coach puts deadlifts on the board for our workout. trap bar is ok but i just hate straight bar. we also dont do back squats, we do front/ split squats bc back quats are bad for ur knees?
@CDT565 Back squats are only bad for your knees if you do not push back with your hips and squat at least parallel. If your knees are passing the tip of your shoes, then you have performed the workout incorrectly.

I love the deadlift.. since day one. . there was a bit of a learning curve to get the flow and form down. I know when I first started I could have easily SNAPPED SOME SHIT UP but I'm glad I stuck with it. I still love hearing these guys opinion either way! If they have lower back issues they shouldn't do them.
Deadlifts is a power lift. You can easily snap yo shit up if you do them wrong. However I like them cuz they build up a lot of TESTOSTERONE in yo system.
I know two guys who don't know how to deadlift. Deadlift IS NOT a lower back exercise. Do it right and it is a glute, hamstring, quad exercise. But then I'm about athletic performance and the twins are about size. Though if you want glute and hammie size, can't beat deads.

These guys are good but...deadlifts stimulate testosterone like nothing else which builds muscle. They also make you stronger and develop your hams so well. Wear a belt, use medium weight but high reps and you won't 'snap your shit up'.
Flyers don't add mass, they add separation. Again leg ext separate the quads but don't add mass.
Lastly Dorian Yates (6 time mr Olympia) said decline bench is best cos it does all the chest and takes out the shoulders.

Last, deadlifts are not only for powerlifters but bodybuilders looking to get a nice Christmas tree appearance in their lower back. Hyper-extensions are severely inferior to deadlifts, albeit not as dangerous sense it does not require as much technique as the aforementioned workout. For the most part, I agree with the twins, but I had to give the deadlifts justice : )
Also, if you do not position yourself correctly at the starting position, whereby your hips are not raised high enough to utilize more power from glute/ham action, and/or your chest isn't raised up intially, you can compromise your lower back by causing it to do the most work. Your hamstrings and glutes should be the main players in the game; the lower back is merely stabilizing your core along with your abs. PS: Squats can be just as detrimental to your lower back if you execute shitty form.
Deadlifts are back-snaps for folks who don't know what the fuck they're doing. Otherwise, it's one of the best mass-building workouts sense it works your lower back, calves, forearms, glutes, hamstrings, lats, middle back, quads, and your traps. What other workout can activate so many muscle groups? None. Just stating some cold hard facts for you guys.
I think what's nice about flys is that my triceps give way before my chest does, so sometimes I feel unsatisfied about my chest workout when only doing bench.

i agree with almost everything you say... but i will keep doing my "bitchflyes"... because i like doing "bitchflyes". though i never put that much weight on... i use it as an ender just to get a good pump feeling.
Everything else I agree on. I never do backsnaps anymore. And I am also very careful with dips. Though i love doing them. I try to keep constant tension and if I feel the LEAST tension in my shoulders i go easier.

Deadlifts are crucial. Look at Arnold's chest, his was built off of flys. If you are doing your deadlifts correct, it works hamstrings, quads, spinal erectors, forearms, traps, and rhomboids.

It sucks because my weightlifting coach puts deadlifts on the board for our workout. trap bar is ok but i just hate straight bar. we also dont do back squats, we do front/ split squats bc back quats are bad for ur knees?

@CDT565 Back squats are only bad for your knees if you do not push back with your hips and squat at least parallel. If your knees are passing the tip of your shoes, then you have performed the workout incorrectly.

I love the deadlift.. since day one. . there was a bit of a learning curve to get the flow and form down. I know when I first started I could have easily SNAPPED SOME SHIT UP but I'm glad I stuck with it. I still love hearing these guys opinion either way! If they have lower back issues they shouldn't do them.

I know two guys who don't know how to deadlift. Deadlift IS NOT a lower back exercise. Do it right and it is a glute, hamstring, quad exercise. But then I'm about athletic performance and the twins are about size. Though if you want glute and hammie size, can't beat deads.

I like the hodgetwins and would say that 75% of the information they give is sound, 10% is debatable, 15% is simply absurd. Deadlifts are one of the top three best compound exercises for building strength and muscle. I love deadlifts.I love this video. And its true that deadlifts without proper form is very dangerous. But every fitness figure on youtube has their own preference due to experience. These guys are good but...deadlifts stimulate testosterone like nothing else which builds muscle. They also make you stronger and develop your hams so well. Wear a belt, use medium weight but high reps and you won't 'snap your shit up'.
Flyers don't add mass, they add separation. Again leg ext separate the quads but don't add mass.
Lastly Dorian Yates (6 time mr Olympia) said decline bench is best cos it does all the chest and takes out the shoulders.

Last, deadlifts are not only for powerlifters but bodybuilders looking to get a nice Christmas tree appearance in their lower back. Hyper-extensions are severely inferior to deadlifts, albeit not as dangerous sense it does not require as much technique as the aforementioned workout. For the most part, I agree with the twins, but I had to give the deadlifts justice : )

Also, if you do not position yourself correctly at the starting position, whereby your hips are not raised high enough to utilize more power from glute/ham action, and/or your chest isn't raised up intially, you can compromise your lower back by causing it to do the most work. Your hamstrings and glutes should be the main players in the game; the lower back is merely stabilizing your core along with your abs. PS: Squats can be just as detrimental to your lower back if you execute shitty form.
