Have you played WLK? In the Racetrack level, your katamari automatically goes forward rather fast, even without you pushing the analog sticks forward. Drive Mode in KF is a lot like that, but with a bit more control and subtlety.

How many different tones are there in this game? I know theres Normal, Comic Book, and Wood. Are there any others?

Four filters: classic, wood, comic, and pencil. I don't find it very interesting, but maybe other people enjoy the new looks :)

Sure, I'd be happy to do the filters, although I think there might already be demos up -- here on youtube and also at the Namco site. My picture quality is pretty poor too. I'm working on a better solution, but this is what I've got right now.

The Classic Filter is the old look of the old games. I'm not sure if it defaults to classic; I think it defaults to pencil.

I think I had it in pencil. But again, my video quality is so bad that you can't really tell what it's like. Tonight when I play, I'll be a little more careful and take notice of the filters, and maybe post some stuff. Sorry for the confusion. Like I said before, I'm not really too interested in the filters, so I haven't paid close attention.

FILTERS QUESTION: "pencil" is the term that was used in preview advertisements a while back; but in the game it says "New." (I ran this level here in "New.") It's a little brighter than classic, and it looks somewhat like a colored pencil drawing. Not as cartoony as cartoon, though.

Ha! I don't know how objective I can be about my own awesomeness! :D I'm not half-bad at the level -- I played it a lot when it came out in a previous game in the series (We Love Katamari). But Drive Mode definitely helps you get big fast (and the King's Heart). They actually don't give you as much time because of that factor.

=o I love this level too. I fell in love with th Save the Pandas one. I'm pretty sure I used your route where it started with the 3 coins. I actually beated the first 4 Katamari games XD And actually, the whole revving sound the sumo makes should have been a dead give away at it being faster.
