  • fantastic

  • One more beautiful aria yearningly song by Caruso. Thank you Tom for this precious gem.

  • @tomfroeker What I like about Tauber's sentiment is Tauber. Singer that he was, he didn't let his ego stand in the way of beauty, of being moved, or of the truth, unlike a number of other tenors when it came to Caruso.

  • @VocalMechanics I think Tauber was a genius too. And a great spirit. He had abilities similar to those of Caruso (singing the words for themselves).

  • Thank you ,Tom,for beautiful Caruso's aria from a rear opera.

Read in a reference the great Caruso was singing only two arias from Leoncavallo's opera (next 'Testa Adorata ').My opinion- this aria is the best one,it opens your webside also :-):-):-)

Read that Leoncavallo even accompanied Caruso at the piano sometimes.

    My regards.

  • @MrKonstantin06 Yes, Ruggero Leoncavallo dedicated his "Mattinata" to Caruso and accompanied him on the piano in the recording from Friday, 08. April 1904. Leoncavallo is of course much better knows for his opera "Pagliacci" !

  • Thanks for posting!

  • I can't get over those words or Richard Tauber. How well we know what he means.

  • @VocalMechanics Richard Tauber felt the same about Caruso as you and I. Only difference being that he was a celebrated tenor - don't know about you, but I am certainly not !

  • ... so beautiful ...
