This is a great phone but as it is a windows unit it does play up every now and again, freezing, slow reactions etc but it's incredibly clever non the less, i've had mine for about a month now and i've only really found one major drawback, and it's the battery life, even if you don't use it very much like "1 call, 5texts, quick look on the net" it'll easily consume it's battery in under 10 hours and if you have Wi-Fi and bluetooth on it'll drain it in well under 8, i hope samsung sort this out.

depends what you want. iphone doesn't have divx/xvid which is just sad. I hit the torrent sites and my omnia plays them straight up, no transcoding. gps is built in to the omnia, so i have tomtom (maps) up and running without a data plan. music sounds great with the the srs app i use (sorry, not for iphone). Really the only thing better on iphone is games, and those games suck balls compared to my (hacked) psp. iphone is for gays.

so does a Nokia N95 and 96 and also records in 30 fps in video which is much smoother to view in playback. BUT the samsung I had was a good phone but failed on sound quality, ring tone loudness and very difficult to see in sunlight which is the case in most mobile phones. Anyway everyone to their own. Umm. Im in Canada,(B.C. to be exact) and we have like 5 GSM cell phone stores, that sell nothing but unlocked GSM/3G phones, to be used here in Canada through Rogers/Fido. And, just yesterday, 3 of those sites, updated their inventory which now has the Samsung Omnia for $990CDN and up. It is expensive to buy them, but at least their are contract free, and all i need to do is get a sim card and put it in.

and all i could find is that the i900 got a better browser and GPS that was tested.

In case you haven't notice brainhole, it has windows mobile 6.1, not mac os.
Has 5 mpx camera, 3.2 inch display, so i don't see where it looks like an iphone, ofcourse the phone factor is the same because their touchscreen devices without qwerty, but that doesn't make it a clone.

Umm. Im in Canada,(B.C. to be exact) and we have like 5 GSM cell phone stores, that sell nothing but unlocked GSM/3G phones, to be used here in Canada through Rogers/Fido. And, just yesterday, 3 of those sites, updated their inventory which now has the Samsung Omnia for $990CDN and up. It is expensive to buy them, but at least their are contract free, and all i need to do is get a sim card and put it in.
Also, thumbs up to your comments about Omnia being better than iPhone, ITS 100% true.
