hey, hard to understand what u mean for a person with no trinidad origin. how ever. this is just one way of pan playing what you do. it's not better or worse than others, but play so hard let the sweet sound of pan disappear. I know that this is (great) part of carnival tradition, but still i think it's a pitty. and i see that u guys are fast& good players but i don't think i'm a better player i know;-) but trinidad to far away just to come over to show you something.......

Ups! Hey, this was just my opinion. No offence and nothing against this players musicality. But: I play pan now for 25 years(for times for Panorama),and I arrange almost as long, and most of all, I love pan, so think about who might be the ingnorant guy, not looking over the edge of his cup, not seeing what's hapening with this instrument all over the world beside panorama. And you're right, I'm not Trini, but still I can tell the difference between beat a pan and play a pan, sorry.....

oh boy, know why trinis say beat pan and not play pan. and this arrangement won !?! no way! sounds like arranged 20years ago, and i'm not talking about recording quality.and with all respect to the arranger, how can he influence the players when 1st, they don't even look at him , and 2nd. they couldn't even see him from behind. it's a foolish trend these days....

Perhaps you should hear a live performance before criticizing either the players or the music. I WAS THERE and can tell you that the level of pan music cntinues to grow in leaps and bounds, despite what the armchair critics have to say. Amen

Believe it or not, 'the clown jumping all over the place' is a very serious conductor. It was a practice session. You should also know that recording steelband music is difficult even for professionals. This was done with a mini Olympus digital that cost $200. Lighten up! And it didn't win YET!

this sounds good...but i'm hoping that its the recording quality that making it so scratchy and loud as if they were beating the pan BAD!!. and at 2:12....there seems to be a difference wit wat the two tenors are playing. or am i wrong? lol
