  • is Turkic and Mongol the same?

  • @tuskin4 look at wikipedia under "Altaic Languages"...

  • @tuskin4 Nope, Mongols and Turkic are just living close to each other and have lot of common words and traditions.

  • @tuskin4

    No. They're very different.

  • @tuskin4 Mongol comes from greek term "great one". Gengis Khan was blond man with blue eyes - "great one" Russian tribal general (Khan). Whole western "history" about Asia is wrong...

  • @VendPrekmurec Why don't you take a look from wiki sites! Yes we have blondish significant type of ppl, but that's not meant we're from europe.....

  • @VendPrekmurec

Genghis Khan was russian? :)))) dreamer!

  • you guys should understand that Real turkic and modern turkish are completely different!

  • LONG LIVE TURAN !

  • beautiful song - greetings from Hungary!

  • That's just beautiful, guys. How come you don't cry listening to this song? A translation can be found here vvvv(replace with you know what).tyvawiki.org/wiki/Amdy_baryp

  • egek tengere

  • Hungarians also Ancient nomadic ppl

  • in hungarian, "tenger" means sea. :)

  • süper olmuş

  • Yakut, chukcha and other ethnic groups are so similar to Native Americans...it maybe true that they migrated from Siberia to North America...

  • @worIdcitizen - it is true ) they moved to north America about 100.000 Y ago) and now live in North and South America =)

  • SKY means God and the Freedom, TENGRI was also RELIGION of VOLGA BULGARS before Christianity and Islam came .

  • ote jaksy!!!

  • Dear Barsbeg!

What does it mean "tenger" ???

  • "tenger" in mongolian it means sky. turkic version is "tengri".

  • @Barsbeg It's fun, in Hungarian (Which has som Turkic influences) tenger means sea.

  • @Barsbeg "gök tengri" ( God of the sky)! Only "Tengri" means GOD! "gök" means SKY

  • @TToyku Turkish of Turkey isnt the purest Turkish... please study old Turkish or central asian turkic languages..

  • Comment removed

  • @TToyku

"gök" is coming of kök and kök means blue. Today in anatolian villages people say to blue and to green gök or göy.

Kök Tengri means "blue sky". The "blue sky" was and is the god of the Turks. When the first turkic nomads became muslim thay transform the sky tengri to temgri the god (Allah).

  • @Barsbeg Kazakhs at the present time in everyday language call the God as Khudai or Tangir (and rarely Alla)~

  • @MrFefefofo Tenger means the sea in Hungarian...which also means Eternity?god...in several languages you can find the name of God = TENGRI

    Yotengrit

Long Live Turanian Brotherhood :) !!

  • @THORA2012

Hi, the word tenger in Hungarian comes from the Oğur Turkic word for sea. In non-Oğur Turkic languages the word is "dengiz" or "tengiz" but in Oğur languages final -z is -r. So, they said tinger. Their pronounciation of "Tengri" is "Tura", assumably from the "Tangara" form. So there isn't an etymological connection between Hungarian "tenger" and the others, but Onoğur Turks played a role in the ethnic formation of the Magyars, Onogur is one assumed root of the word "Ugri". :)

  • @THORA2012 Chingis means sea in anceint Mongolian language. Tengis means sea in modern Mongolian language. Therefore name of Chingis khaan means King great as a sea. Dengiz is sounds very close to Chingis. Interesting right?. Also Hungarian national close is very similar to Mongolian deel. I believe that your ansesters came from Mongolian stepps. HUN or we call them Hunnu.

  • @MrFefefofo It's very interesting.. "tenger" is also a hungarian word, that mean is sea!

  • @kerecseny1

tenger - tener - deniz (in other turkic)

ökör (ox) - öküz (in azeri turkic)

    söpör - süpür

    szo - söz etc.

  • and "tenger" means "SEA" in hungarian

  • small country great music

  • Paylashim ichin teshekkürler Soydashim.

    Yashasin TÜRKLER!

  • these are no gods :) these are "tash ata" [forefathers of stone] - symbolic for famous forefathers who were shamans, priests, chief's or warriors.

In old ALTAI tradition - they have a function of example - mostly connected with story telling & singing. So nobody ever forgets its heroes and the persons who worked hard for their people.

This is an old tradition of the steppe.

  • Yes, I'm descendant of warrior called Saipan, I don't know when he leaved and what he did, but I remember I'm his discendant, and I know he is more than 13 generations in past.. :-)) This makes little sense but this our traditions we have to remember.

  • saatlerce dinledim. çok güzel.

  • Since years, our who we are who we have been rus disappear our Arablaştık who now rule our great country let me join

  • i think tibetans also used to practice tengriism. geser (bukhe beligte in mongol) a prophet of tengriism was from tibet.tengriism must have spread to tibet from mongolia, but later tibetans adopted buddhism.love and respect to my mongol brothers. tuvan throat singing is awesome, yat-kha is a great band.

  • yashaaaaaaaa...

  • óóóóyeeeeeee

  • cok güzel

    nice video

    very good

  • you monkeys disrect your russian brothers! don't forget you Mongols destroyed most of Europe, arabia and china! you did not respect those so karma is against you barbarians.

  • If you havent guns and lies. You would have no chance against the hordes of the steppe... hehehee

  • Superstition is a foolish thing.

  • So you don't respect the culture and beliefs of native peoples!

Nobody asked you about your ignorant arrogant colonial imperial oppinion!!!

  • My view is devoid of political considerations such as imperialism or colonialism. Every being we know of is a native... of earth. My only criteria for respect... are fairness and that claims be confirmable and testable. Superstition should be squashed, no matter whose they are and no matter where the come from.

KinFrong said "you did not respect those so karma is against you barbarians."

I reminded him that karma, while a nice idea, is, sadly, just a baseless suspertition.

  • Sagan, superstition is a frame of mind that bases itself on fields and terms of reference that, for good or for worst, are not applicable and neither comparable to the west's rational knowledge. Therefore, it is deemed as baseless and irrational by who follows the west's scientific and quantifiable logic.

I think this is a point you agree with.

  • Continuing on the previous point, you yourself are deemed irrational from the perspective of the people who embrace what you call superstition, According to their logic, your own reason is limited for you don't see facts that follow a difference framework of identification. So, who is right, Sagan? you, with your pompous reasoning that debases anything that does not conform to your worldview, or theirs, which is more tolerant and accepting? The only difference is who controls knowledge.

  • perhaps one should think of karma scientifically: for every action there is an equal opposite reaction.

The universe is huge and full, so that when we push against it with our puny little impulses, its positive pressure pushes whatever we put out there back. I admire the scientific way of thought but it is not the only way.

  • While I am a secular humanist and quite the believer in reason as man's best tool, I disagree with the idea that superstition is a foolish thing. Science has proven that mithology and non-modern thinking plays an important role in the human psyche and on mental health, so tradition(superstition) is healthy and therefore not foolish.
