is amharic a difficult language to learn? I am Serbian (from ex Yugoslavia) and I would love to learn the language of the original Orthodox brothers and also the language of King Selassie I. I can speak English, all ex yugoslavian languages and French; will Amharic be too difficult for me (since I have European pronunciation) ?

@Stefan2SERB I think it is the easiest language. I knew other foreigners in los angles and kansas who speak very surprisingly at its best level.

You need to learn first the alphabets, because once you know the alphabet, you can write and read every books and you can start communicating. It is not like Enlish, no need 'spelling bee' kind. I mean you can write what you speak/said as is.
