  • J'aime cette version.

  • im french and i dont get a single word of what shes saying. But thumbs up for the hard work! French aint easy ;)

  • @Thomassturridge I am French and I do understand perfectly what she's singing. French is not that hard.

  • @Thomassturridge I'm italian et j'ai compris presque tous les mots. Bye bye.

  • i put it too on my channel with a better sound,i hope you dont mind, this cover is so great !

  • Great.

  • I've owned this since the mid 80's on VHS and DVD. My favorite Eurythmics recording. I love the huskiness of Ms. Lennox here. She isn't Francois Hardy but she's not trying to be, either -

  • I like Annie Lennox, but this performance was nauseating.

  • @skiluinamso I TOTALLY AGREE!!!

  • Mon Dieu !! OMG, bon ... C'est drôle hein !!

  • j'adore et j'ai le vynil bien sure , beau cadeau merci j'adore

  • its such a shame annie was suffering with her voice around this time she had vocal fold polyps in 1983 and as such lost her voice for a bit and consequently she was unable to perform at live aid, she did recover though ^^

  • Who cares if she mispronounces the words in French???

    She's Annie Fucking Lennox!!!

  • Kooooool

  • I miss the lovely voice of Francoise !!

  • 1/No french people speaking french i think it's so cute !

2/I miss you both Annie and Dave !!

    3/Fuck Haters

    4/Shit i'm a hater too...poor guy !!

  • I FUCKIN HATE EURYTHMICS

    owi <3

  • genious... great great great...

  • Groovin Groovin Groovin Groovin Groovin Groovin Groovin

  • @dbldwndrew

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Comment removed

  • oh no, they just destroyed the song by Francoise Hardy

  • Good try?

  • cool!!!very very good cover!

  • Hail the Auld Alliance. And Annie has a jolie derriere.

  • So terrible the way she sang it. She might as well sing a chinese ballad ( imagine how horrid it can be). prefer the original

  • J en ai eut assez apres 21 sec d ecoute quelle horreur

  • i don't like this version of the song..

we sang the originally version in our french lesson at school..

it's such a beautiful song. but THIS is awful..

    Oo

  • @s0me0nesp3cial Their studio version of this song is great; this live recording doesn't do it justice.

  • Trop mignon !!

  • OMG O_o Annie lennox chante en français

  • Her French is as good as Mel Gibson's Scottish.

  • no they should leave this song alone to others

  • francoise is better

  • I was surprised and glad to find this version of a classic. For all of the French people who are commenting about her bad French, all I have to say is stop complaining that French music isn't appreciated in the UK or US. Why should an artist try to expand or appreciate their audiences in other countries if their pronunciation of the lyrics is going to be bashed by the people that they want to listen to their music.

  • What's the name of that furry animal sitting on the head of the guitar player?

  • @Blaubeerwald1 David Stewart is an award winning producer who in latter years since this performance has produced Tom Petty, Mick Jaguar, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner..etc. but I digress, back in the day when I became an official fan around that time, I myself wondered about that.

  • What a discovery. I think the lyrics are better suited for Francoise H. then for Anny L., but I appreciat the Eurythmics' tribute.

  • ewww....ruined a classic

  • Good job Annie..Goes to show you how sophisticated the eurythmics were....are!

  • was set to not like this version, but after hearing it, it turns out to be great... so what if her french is crappy!

  • my favorite remake, so far, is from this YouTube account: randrigh

Love her voice with the guitar. I think she sets the right, sweet melody for this song.

  • "Dans les roux ? "

    ^^'

    J'aime assez cette version

  • Sans peur «d'ou» lendemain! D'accord, c'est pas facile.

  • c'est de la marde

  • heeeeeeeee ce quoi cette affaire la ????

  • she killed this song

  • lol "Dans les roues".

  • Amazing, I never knew Eurythmics had covered this song. It's an massive French cult song: easy chords, basic, simple but it does work. Respect to Eurythmics for doing this, as very few people know about French stuff in UK.

  • Yea, Francoise was a goddess but I like Annie Lennox & co. 100 times better just for covering this one. Someday, the world will truly wake up to just how good Francoise was. Make a great movie/biography!

  • francoise hardy sings better

  • Of course she does! Hardy has a sweet voice, this one here has no voice at all.

  • @annitanguera No voice at all? Annie has a powerful contralto voice...

  • @annitanguera are you retarded?

  • @mckee002

I don t think so deear, my iq is 137

  • Think of it as a tribute

  • bel hommage

  • defeat ;(((

  • why?

  • Love it she is the best

  • Agreed. I love the song, and I love Eurythmics, but this version of the song is no good. I think Lennox could have poured a lot of soul into the song and pulled it off beautifully, but trying to turn it into this rock thing didn't go well.

  • wow!

    who knew?

    cool!

  • AhAhAhah! never seen this footage before! That is fantastic! Thank You!

  • 2 min 23 s to 2 min 30 s is FUGGEN HILARIOUS !!

  • i agree with bazzfazz. I like the original more but that doesnt mean this one is bad.

  • Oh ok of course there is no greater version than the original but this one is great as well ! music is not a black white science but taste ans synthesizers can be nostalgic too so stop the whining

  • sweetness! ^0^ i like it! I had to sing this song in school for class! lol they made us memorize it I with i had found this verson earlier lol!

  • I'm french, & i like this remake of the song... Different from the original, of course, but not bad revisited... Making an exact copy is not interesting, it's always better to make it your way... in my opinion...

OK she don't speak very good french... So what ?

French singer trying to cover english songs are not always very good as well... So what ?

It's more a kind of "homage" for the original singer... In my opinion...

  • nou annie lennox verkracht deze mooie song, viva la franchoise hardy!!!!!!

  • The French language hinders her breathing.... Vive Francoise!

  • mouai je reste fidèle à Françoise quand même

  • i'm rewatching this video and her accent is horrendouse...judging from the comments, i think a lot of people agree.

  • Dans les roues depardieu ahah

  • wow the singer looks like a female david bowie! orange hair, super white face and blush...

  • This is a clip from an old (circa 1982? 83?) live concert in the London nightclub "Heaven." Small band, kind of low tech compared to their later work. "Tous les garcons" was an encore after the rest of the band had left the stage,

  • she is from quebec???

  • I would have never thought this song could be reformed to a pop song...

    it's awesome this version

so is the older one, I like the older one a bit better, though.

  • strong lady ;-D

  • This old ginger scotsman can certainly belt out a catchy song. But why the David Bowie makeup?

    not Depardieu xP

  • I know, i was making fun of her accent

  • eh man.. a different rendition..

i agree that it ruins it :P

c'mon man.. and the guitar is so thin and simple :((

  • SHE MADE THIS SONG REALLY REALLY GAY

  • she's really really awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no no no it is f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c wooooow

  • its a crap compare hardy's french version

  • Ok, something different...really not bad.

But: it's a pitty that she sings other words in stead of the correct words! haha.

A little 'genânt' 'cause some of her words mean entirely different things... :-)Like if I would for example try to sing in, lets say Chinese ;-) No, if my Chinese would be as good as her French, I would be proud, of course.

But anyhow, I think she sings it with dedication and she brings across the 'feeling' of the lyrics in spite of the above.

  • But anyhow, I think she sings it with dedication and she brings across the 'feeling' of the lyrics in spite of the above. >>> Well: I mean, in her voice, not her performance! Too 'happy' of course...

  • awful!

  • Well it's different!

  • pathetic attempt. francoise hardy is by far superior in terms of vocal execution, style and looks. sorry annie it's not working for ya.
