Shenmue on PC - NullDC dreamcast emulator

The face animations were well ahead of their time, and I enjoy the languid pace of the game. L.A. Noire tried something similar to this, but it wasn't as successful, imo. This remains one of the best detective games of all time.

Brings back happy memories from 11 years ago... half my lifetime ago. I can feel off the game, its unlike any other. I remember begging my aunt to get the Dreamcast 3-4 months before Christmas and I was dying to play it! Remember the memory cards the way you could play games on them? The Dreamcast was the first console to properly integrate internet. But it got a shitty deal because Playstation 2 games were mass produced...

is it really a perfect emulation if the sound sucks and the game has some lag? either way, this has always been one of my all time favourite games (and probably dreamcasts best imo. outshone sonic games :P) and hopefully i'll be playing it soon and re-living the memories of playing this game. just have to wait ages for the game to finish download, then i have to extract the file etc.

@SCD999 youtube can prob answer that q. lag and such is prob the timing of utube servers being busy, sound is mono in utube. stereowise it's not true stereo. so bad recording = even worse sound. in time it will be better in utube.

I am scared, if i download this and play it for a while i think i will be disapointed very fast, these older games are fun to watch and play for a little while, but rarely they hold your atention for more then 2 3 hours, but i will give this one a chance, ps Love Sega untill i die.

the original dreamcast + vga cable destroy the ps2.

my nulldc 1.3 has better smoother sound than this but its graphics are blurry.

And my nulldc 1.6 has great graphics, but horrible sound..

how do you get perfect emulation with this? On my Shenmue 2 I can see through Ryo's head sometimes in some scenes and the sound is scratchier than this

type in dc iso's and its the first link in google, the site is called dcisozone i think, 5 DL per day takes like a hour, but they all work, and can be burned . hit me up if you need help.

I get some weird graphical problems with his hair it's kind of like see through at certain angles and it has red outline in certain angles. and when I change pages with the notebook the front page is see through while its flipping. pisses me off

chankast is over mate. use nulldc much better!

with nulldc u don't need daemon tools. if u download the game in cdi format, nulldc will recognize it and play it, and u don't have to emulate it with daemon :)
