Socialism - free medical and dental care. Is that it? You do not want people to live like Canadians? Those people up to the north who are healthy, intelligent and have good teeth? Speaking of teeth...I am in medical care...and this happens -  Someone has a toothache but no money for a dentist. They go to the ER and get a CT scan (to rule out infection/abscess) which costs about 3000.00. They have to do this before prescribing pain meds. Tell me how much sense this makes.

Sorry for my harsh criticism ... but in the end of the day there is nothing to augment. Here in Germany we have medical care since 60 years, I mean it´s not for free, You have to pay monthly but it is obligatory i.e. everyone has the possibility to get full medical care. ... And it neither bankrupted Germany nor destroyed private insurance (its parallel and additional). And please: I don´t know exactly what the "American Way" is, but this is far away from "communist way" ... merry x-mas anyway !

ObamaCare is a DISASTER for the United States because it will destroy competition, eliminate diverse coverage option, destroy private insurance, limit coverage, institute euthanasia (it will literally throw grandma under the bus) & legalize gross infanticide, it will bankrupt the American economy and it will lead to healthcare rationing.

That may be the communist way BUT NOT the AMERICAN WAY! The Citizens of America are given economic ownership & freedom over their own healthcare.

There is such a crude and absurd logic in here, it´s simply unbelievable. The truth is that the sort of capitalism how it developed in the last 20 Years is not the solution as the Socialism wasn´t either for the former Soviet Union. What we really need is a reset in some way Certainly it will be frightful for some people (let´s say for 1 % ) , but otherwise it will end in a catastrophy for Billions of people worldwide. Every 7 seconds a child dies, although we have enough to eat for everyone!

Free Trade which allowed cheap goods into the country was the what forced companies to outsource and offshore. However, Wall Street controls the board decisions of every Fortune 500 company. Factories and jobs were either sent overseas or the banks would replace the executives of those companies with people who would. You can try and rationalize it all you want but when somebody is working for $2 a day those ARE slave conditions. And as a result wages spiral to the bottom for all. We're fucked.

@DoNotCiv ummm... no... the banksters didnt force jobs overseas. the government allowed cheap goods to enter this country without duty imposed to protect the jobs here. Ironically, those poeple in bangladesh or honduras are really usually glad to have the jobs, although they look like slave conditions to us. If they unionize there, they often get killed. Also, WE helped develope these countries so they could one day compete unfairly with us. We're fucked.
