Leave police officers alone people! When soldiers come back from war they are treated as heroes. When officers come home, after being shot/punched/kicked at, after watching a man bleed to death, after working long hours without a break because it was a busy night, they get nothing. They SHOULD be given some leniency when they are off duty. I'm not saying get away with murder, but let the guy get some food real quick.I bet he hasn't eaten for hours.

Police officers are meant to be seen as model citizens, especially where it pertains to their conduct where citations/fines are a possible outcome (parking violations). Misconduct in this area erodes that image and leads to less respect and cooperation from civilians. The rules are for everybody.

The ONLY time a COP is ALLOWED to break the law is when "in the commission of his duty" a break is NOT his duty, it's his right. The light bar designates when the cop is "IN the commission of his duty" and needs to be on when he is being a cop, like writing a ticket or arresting someone. The light bar MEANS "I am breaking the law to serve my duty" When on foot he is considered at all times to be "in the commission of his duty" and can break the rule of law to serve the law.

The ONLY time a COP is ALLOWED to break the law is when "in the commission of his duty" a break is NOT his duty, it's his right. The light bar designates when the cop is "IN the commission of his duty" and needs to be on when he is being a cop, like writing a ticket or arresting someone. The light bar MEANS "I am breaking the law to serve my duty" When on foot he is considered at all times to be "in the commission of his duty" and can break the rule of law to serve the law.

I told her that didn't make sense and asked to speak to her supervisor. She said, "if you don't think I can't lock you up for asking to talk to my supervisor, you're wrong".
